I love this place! My friends and I go here all the time. It's a great place for a casual hangout or even a birthday dinner! I normally get the rice noodles with bone-in beef or bone-in pork, and it is always delicious. You get so much food for such a great price. The broth was so rich and savory, and the mixture of toppings in the broth paired perfectly with the meat and noodles. In addition, the food comes out so quickly and the staff are always so helpful and understanding! I highly recommend going here if you find yourself on University Avenue.

I was surprised to find this little gem, offering authentic Chinese rice noodles and dishes. We ordered beef rice noodles, cucumber salad and Dugu. All tasted great. Dagu (stewed pork bone with bits of beat) was a fun dish for me, which could have a bit more meat on the bone. The service was great, and the ambiance was pleasant. Will go back for more.

Was in town for a conference and this little shop was just 2 streets away from my hotel. My family ordered their special and the spicy beef and it did not disappoint. The soup is very flavorful and the vegetables inside are very fresh. The noodle and the soup come as seperate bowls but once it is brought to the table, they add the noodles into the soup to get it up to temeprature. The food is definitely worth it so much so that we went back there the next day to try other things! If I had more time left in town, I would have tried the braised pot as those look amazing too! Definitely will go back there when I an back in town and hopefully it will be when the temperature is lower to enjoy the watm soup and noodles.

Really awesome noodles. The broth was light but flavourful. I would definitely come back again. The cold chicken appetiser which I've forgotten the name of was also really good.

First time customer at Dagu here. The restaurant is cozy and warm, and you can enjoy the view of the streets while sitting. The staff person who attended to us was kind and friendly and gave us good recommendations for food as well. Soon after sitting down I was pleasantly surprised to receive our steaming hot food. I have never had food come that quick before. The portions are great for the price! I had to finish the rest at home so it's at least two meals for the price of one. It was very delicious as well.Another thing I'd like to note is I am mostly wary of restaurant bathrooms because they're usually dirty, but their bathroom is clean and the soap and paper towels were well stocked. I appreciate that. They say you can tell how clean a restaurant's kitchen is by their bathroom. Can't wait to come back again!

Been there a couple of times. Rated them 4 out of 5 as their food is pretty good quality and large portion. However, their food’s quality varies, the beef brisket was a bit more chewy compared to the last time I’ve had it. The other dish we ordered was the Tomato flavored rice noodle soup with chicken chop, the soup was great and the rice noodles were yummy. Only thing I would critique is the coating of the chicken chop, a bit thicker than I had expected which affected the flavor of this dish by a wee bit. Overall, their food are pretty quality and filling. Would recommend if you are seeking for something relatively cheap and large portion with good flavors.Parking: The restaurant is on the side of the University Avenue so there are no parking on the side of the street, they also do not have any parking spots available. If you are driving, your best shot of getting a parking spot would be for you to check on the east side of the N Frances street and also some of the paid parking ramps around, which are all paid parking. You may find paid parking ramps on N Frances street and N Lake street.
