Food was fine, service was average/good but it was really surprising and disappointing to find a service.chaege and pre-charged 20% tip on our bill for a party of 3. Im a strong believer in tipping, but tipping should always be optional. Between this bad policy and a hidden service charge, I won't be going back. This decision by some restsurants recently is my filter for places and whether or not I'll ever return. Lots of other places that offer good food and service for my hard earned cash.

Randomly stopped here tonight with my mom and stumbled upon a gem. Best Mexican Restaurant in Madison HANDS DOWN. The atmosphere gives quality authentic Mexican and i loved that. The food was absolutely delicious (i ate it so fast i forgot the picture part). The server was so nice and polite. We will support again and again!!

I debated on 1 or 2 stars because of our experience. Food, service & atmosphere were good. However, when the bill came it seemed high and there was only a total on the bill, no breakdown of what was purchased. I asked for a receipt with the total bill and itemized charges and after waiting a while the bill came and there was a $10 service fee for our table, a party of 2!!!! We have never been billed like this before. A larger table of 6 or more sure but a party of 2 people charging a $10 service fee. Too many other Mexican restaurants to visit locally that don’t nickel and dime. CHECK YOUR BILL!!!!! A surprising hidden sitting fee may await you souring the taste of any good food.

Absolutely loveeee this place. Me and my boyfriend come very often! The workers are amazing and the service is great, they are very attentive. The chorizo queso is to die for! 11/10 i recommend this place to everyone I know!

Authentic Mexican food. Steak taco was just perfect. Chicken enchiladas with green sauce were nice. I prefer red sauce, but they didn't ask what kind of sauce I wanted, so assuming green (& mole) are the only choices. That shouldnt decrease their reciew, by all means. My waitress was very kind. I will be back!

This place is really, really good. The staff is kind and welcoming. Food tastes like it is made with love. I take it as a good sign that on occasion we are the only native English speakers. And margaritas as big as your head!

It was clean even though it was under construction. It wasn't busy so the waiter was very attentive. We tried the breaded chicken (their version of a kids chicken tender/nugget) with fries, a steak taco, and a chicken taco. We were never served water and had to order drinks and ask for chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a mild bite to it, but it just didn't have enough flavor. My kid did not like the chicken, but stated that the fries were crispy and delicious. The steak taco was tender and delicious. The chicken taco was not very good. It didn't really have any flavor and was overloaded with lettuce and sour cream. They did offer red and green sauces for the tacos and they were the typical run of the mill type. Neither was very flavorful. If you like this type of general run of the mill fare, then you will appreciate it.

The cemitas were very delicious, I ordered chilaquiles and they served me tortilla chips full of oil and a spoonful of sauce and cream on top…. The tortilla chips below are dry and full of oil…. Even so, they charged for the food... highly unrecommended... I wouldn't go back.
