The food was very good. There may be a little confusion with communication if cheese is added to Philly Cheese steak.
I think the wait staff and bus staff need a little training. The waitress we had in delivering water glasses had a technique that she held the glasses with her pointy finger hovering above the glass and when she put it on the table her finger dipped into the water.
The bus person didn’t seem like she spoke much English. We had an incident where a glass was spilled of water. She walked by and we asked for a towel to clean it up. She grabbed the empty glass and didn’t say much. I asked again if we could get a towel for the water. She just pointed at the glass and said “water”. At that point I was done with the conversation. She also refilled our glasses by pinching the inside and outside of the glass and taking it away and coming back with a full glass. Unclear if the glass was changed or just refilled.
These things are not the end of the world but rubbed me wrong that day. Still gave full tip and didn’t bring it up at the time. I feel it’s just a training thing.

Atmosphere excellent, Guinness draught was lovely, our waitress was friendly. Ordered one of the house specialties "Cottage Pie" described as chicken stew with seven vegetables in a puffed pastry... Received a bowl of cream of chicken mixed frozen vegetables soup, no pastry. The bottom of the bowl had a scoop of cold instant mashed potatoes. Pieces of microwaved chicken with frozen mixed vegetables - carrots, pees, potato, corn. The celery may have been sauteed as it was crunchy. The cream sauce was thin and flavored with dried Italian seasoning. School cafeterias made better frozen pot pies. Could have been a true Irish base, Campbell's cream of chicken vegetable soup. My advice stop for a pint at the bar, skip the food, tip the bartender.

Really good Irish food. I've had the Corned Beef and Cabbage and the Shepherd's Pie. Both were delicious. The corned beef was perfectly tender and not at all stringy. The ambiance is a fairly authentic Irish pub, with several rooms that keep the noise down and make it feel more cozy.

Food was delicious. I ate at the bar and the bar tender was a bit moody. I think he must have assumed I was a local. So if you are not a local you might need to mention that for better service

We stopped in for a dinner after reading reviews and were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere. Busy but not crowded. Delicious food. Great outdoor sitting area. Our server was fun and attentive. Highly recommend visiting if you are in town.

great place. prices are slightly more than the surounding restaurants but totally worth it. always great service.

Their chicken wings are the best in Madison.
