Gates & Brovi is consistently good. Definitely our go-to restaurant. The quality of food is always excellent, and everything we tried so far was delicious! Especially, pizza, brunch dishes and ice cream.

We love this place. Best cheese curds in Madison, hands down. Great fish fry.

Good food, not overly heavy, and a nice beer selection. Great atmosphere and excellent service every time. Love the variety - would like to see more regular menu updates though.

My friend and I both had the signature Chicken Picatta and shared the smelt. The Picatta was outstanding. The smelt was good but the tarter sauce was even better! Our waitress was fabulous. We went right at opening and were immediately seated. Restaurant filled quickly and then there was a wait. There is a nice cocktail/beer list.Other reviews mention the lack of parking. Don't let that deter you. Just know you'll have to park and walk a little distance. My friend has been here before. It was my first time. Certainly planning to visit again.

Oysters were the star of the show here! Never had better oysters than here, they source them well. Will probably come back during the happy hour just for the oysters alone.Everything else was okay, the salmon was a little disappointing in flavor and texture, and the fish fry is pretty standard. I loved the tartar sauce it came with though!

It’s a small, intimate dining experience! While you may have a wait for a table…the bar service is excellent while you wait. We sat at a high top with 2 other guests. While it may feel a little odd, my guest and I were able to still have our own conversations without feeling like we were sitting at someone else’s table.

The best chicken piccata I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked and breaded to perfection (not too heavy) and comes with delicious potatoes and green beans. The sauce is delicious and has capers and green olives and is finished off with a squeeze of a lemon- just the right amount to brighten the meal:)

Can only speak for the Fried Bluegill BLT and the atmosphere at lunch on a Saturday but both were excellent. The sandwich started with properly toasted bread and elevated from there. And the greens were crisp and not Wisconsin wilted. Great view of the woods across the street.
