The bartender, Colleen was extremely rude to my fiancée when I received the wrong drink. My fiancée went to the bar for me since I have a broken foot and when I received the wrong drink, Colleen refused to make me a new drink and instead dumped half of it out an filled the rest with sprite and no additional liquor due to the inconvenience. She told my fiancee to “send him up to the bar so he can pay for another drink if it isn’t sweet enough for him”. Additional rude comments and gestures mixed in. Colleen is unprofessional.

Great experience tonight. Ordered drinks that came out to about $15 and left a $4 tip (which is more than 20%), and the bartender was super appreciative and friendly about it. We were excited to try out Genna’s since we’d heard great things, and it looked super cool when we walked in, even though it was busy. We were already planning our next round. After that interaction, he totally made our night. Will definitely be coming back!

Bar upstairs is the hidden gem 💎! Genna’s is a Madison institution and a must go.
