Wow I absolutely loved this place! The food was great and so much flavor! I find it funny that people would rank this lower because the comment says food is good but service was horrible or the workers didn't seem to care...... are you expecting a five star place for a meal that's $10?! Please disregard those type of comment! Come here for yourself and try the food. Not too mention the staff here was fine, no need to say anything negative! I got the combo meal good choice with hanger steak and salmon, so amazing with regular spicy. Thanks guys keep up the good work!
The food is almost as awful as the customer service. Never coming here again!
I was just here and was very disappointed by the customer service. I was walking into the rest room to pee when one of the employees looked at another employee and said "we're about to have a code brown" insinuating I was going to go number 2 apparently, which I did not. I don't understand how he thought I wouldn't hear him, when he was only 3 feet away, but I did and it wasn't cool, and super childish. Maybe he wanted me to hear him? I don't really know but again seriously? Also, the food is pretty over priced for what you get. I say look elsewhere if you're in the mood for stir fry.
I've been to Glaze Teriyaki countless times and loved it until my experience today: Cashier: "So what would you like today?" Me: "I'll have a salmon teriyaki bowl with white rice, sesame, and regular sauce." Cashier: "Just to let you know, we're out of salad but would you like an alternative instead?" Me: "Yeah that'd be great!" *Rings up total Cashier: "That'll be $15." So let me get this math right. I, as a customer, am expected to pay $4 extra for the alternative that would've already come in the bowl free-of-charge had they ordered their inventory correctly for the day and given me a salad? That's saying that the teriyaki bowl alone, without the salad, would've cost $11, and the vegetables due to their lack of inventory was $4 more. Piss poor accommodations for their own shortcomings. Last time I'll be going to Glaze.
While Glaze Teriyaki offers up a pleasant State Street setting to enjoy a casual meal, the sheer blandness of the food will preclude from returning anytime soon. The interior of the venue Industrial look with concrete floors, pillars and ceiling. There's a variety of seating options including a communal table. You order at the counter, Chipotle style, picking a protein, rice type, sauce and extra add-ins. It was frustrating that there wasn't much guidance on what type of combinations are most popular and the person at the counter did not provide any assistance. Wait times to order at the counter are generally short, though. I was underwhelmed by the dearth of flavor in the pork teriyaki with a side salad with the carrot ginger dressing. There was no sear on the pork and the slightly mushy brown rice lacked any of the nutty flavor I've come to expect. The carrot ginger dressing was decent. With so many impressive Asian restaurants in the area turning out flavor-packed dishes at a lower price, I have little motivation to ever return to Glaze Teriyaki.
One of favorite place to eat! Their hottest sauce it super spicy, like asian spicy. Its so rare to find a good spicy place, so I recommend to do the hottest sauce if you love spicy food. Make to sure to time yourself right to get the fastest orders, due to rushes (lunch and dinner) cause it will take a while to get your food. Overall, I love the beautiful place.
