Great place to eat if at the hospital. Better quality food than cafeteria. Was at the hospital 4 days and stopped here several times. Food made to order in approximately 10-20 minutes. Also has an outside sitting area in addition to inside seating.
Got my made to order sandwich on bread so rock hard it was inedible. How could they not know this when they assembled the sandwich! Never again.
My lunch was made to order because of my food allergies. They made exceptions to meet my d.c dietary needs. Exceptional quality of prepared food.
This is a good cafe for getting healthy food to go. I also enjoyed their healthy options (which are uncommon for Madison). Most of waitstaff though could use some morale lifting- they were unfriendly and seemed that they didn't want to be there and did not check in to see if I needed anything. In fact, it seemed I was burdening them and one didn't even respond when I said “thank you.†I think people use this cafe because it's convenient in the hospital but it definitely is not a real restaurant as advertised.
Pleasant wait staff, nicely-prepared food from a simple menu, quiet atmosphere, organic eggs and locally-made sourdough bread. Reasonable prices. All tips go to Friends of Meriter Scholarship Fund. I like this place. Located inside Meriter Hospital, less than 100 feet from the main entry.
