Well the bartender was apparently having a hard day (I'm not sure he talked at all) but boy, he knows how to make one amazing spicy margarita. I mean outstanding!

My company had thier holiday party here recently, I had never been before. What a beautiful establishment and great location! The staff was great, friendly and fast, I never waited longer than a few minutes for a drink. The food was fantastic and the presentation was beautiful. I would highly recommend stopping in or arranging a moderately sized event here. Try the Pear martini (Pear Tin Rug ?) it is amazing. Thanks, Heritage Tavern, for making the night a success! You guys ROCK!

Overall super enjoyable experience for my partner and I! Top rated on everything! The staff was very friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Our server Florence was the best, like talking with an old friend. Whoever was on expo as well, sorry we missed your name, but thank you for your care with our whitefish crab cake! We'll definitely be returning next time we're in Madison. Thank you!

I absolutely love the restaurant!❤️ every meal I’ve had has been spectacular. Anyone I take there loves it. Such unique and creative ways to highlight meat. Try the assortment of deviled eggs… I heard it through the grapevine some new versions will also be coming soon! I’d go back simply for the eggs. Heritage doesn’t disappoint!

We’ve been satisfied with the food and service in the past but unfortunately our meals last night were disappointing. Both steak based dishes they were 45 minutes in the making, tough meat, swimming in some oily dark sauce with overcooked root vegetables. Not sure with the $200.00 bill we’ll try again.

Been to the restaurant recently, had a good time except tried to order based off the items on the website. Menus don't match. Individual in my party was upset about no spotted cow on bottle list as listed on website, and they look forward to that when they come to Wisconsin... Many other menu issues. Luckily staff is amazing and made up for I.T. errors.

We had brunch at Heritage Tavern and it did not disappoint. We started with a couple of mocktail French "86"s and they were spot on delish. We then split a cinnamon roll (that has ham in it) - do not go to brunch without getting this item! My wife settled on the Heritage Benedict and I had the Lobster scramble. Both were excellent. The scramble came with a plain croissant that was light, crispy and tasty.Service and atmosphere were excellent. Highly recommend. I will definitely come back to dine again.Parking: Paid parking right across the street.

BRUNCH REVIEW: at Heritage Tavern located in Madison!Food: We ordered the Old Fashioned Ham cinnamon roll - so great- we split between 4 people but I easily could eat it myself :). Next we ordered their Heritage Burger. It was cooked great and recommend to have it done medium. Next order was the Maple Lamb Sausage and Savory French Toast. The maple lamb sausage was absolutely amazing and I would try it again. Finally we had the Steak And Eggs. The fried poached egg was very unique and tasty. It’s certainly how I want to have my poached eggs cooked going forward.Food Opinion: 1) The savory French toast wasn’t personally for me. I think it’s something worth trying and seek your own opinion.2) The steak I had was really rough unfortunately but not sure if it was just that day. We had another person order the same entree and their steak was rough as well.Certainly try:* cinnamon roll* maple lamb sausage* heritage burger* fried poached eggsWe’ll certainly come back again for sure as there were other amazing items!Service was great too!

The Heritage Tavern is a real treat to dine at. Great for dates and events, or just going out to eat, you will be able to find carefully balanced dishes with attentive waiting staff. The atmosphere can get a little busy, but it is very calming and enjoyable. With wide varieties of flavor palettes, there is so much food to explore. From soft and chewy pork belly that actually melts in your mouth and perfectly paired with diced mango and other flavors to light and tastefully balanced cranberry baravrois. The wait staff are super accommodating and will help you if you are confused about the menu or need food choice advice.Very nice and fun with farm decor and modern but rustic vibes with even the small details like the bathrooms carefully decorated.Much recommended, the only thing to note is that the Heritage Tavern is slightly on the expensive side.Vegetarian options: Menu labeled if it is vegetarian or not. There is nothing about vegan options, but you can ask for substitutes.Kid-friendliness: It's not meant for younger kids, but teens+young adults are welcome!
