Great music, but the venue gets 1 star for silly rules: need to wear a bracelet for no obvious reason (perhaps that I was clear at security, because nobody looked at my ID), cash only when I don’t trust card swipes in new places, and I paid $10 for a beer ($4-6 at nearby places). Last time coming to an event here, which is sad, because some good acts roll through.

Great venue to see music performances.

Small venue, got to see the performer up close and personal. Yes, the drinks are pricey, but what place is it nowadays?

There's tables and chairs on the top level.

A very nice venue to see bands. Was caught off guard by the cashless system but it worked well.

My favorite music venue in town!

Went to see the The Band Feel awesome show. Cute little place to hold smaller shows.

Nice place

I had a nice time seeing Barrington Levy, his show was wonderful however THE DRINKS ARE VERY OVER PRICED AND THE INCONVENIENCE OF HAVING A CASHLESS EVENT is terrible. Not to mention the two lazy men having a woman get big buckets of ice is absurd.

This is a nice venue, the saloon layout is interesting. It's quite spacious. The sound was decent. The staff was all very nice. I would recommend this for a concert. It sounded like they were having a wedding the next day, that sounds pretty interesting.

I've literally never written a review before, but I was so impressed by my experience that I can't not say something.

I went to a show last night and brought my 7 month old with me. Prior to going, I looked at their website, and I appreciate how detailed it was about what is/isn't allowed and possible accommodations. I am someone who gets anxious going to new places, so seeing everything spelled out online before I got there helped me prepare.

I was baby-wearing my 7 month old and had headphones for him. My diaper bag was over the size limit, but they had no problem letting me in with it after checking it, per protocol. The staff were so nice! There was limited seating on the main floor and without me even asking, staff offered to let me sit up on the indoor balcony (which was closed from the public). This allowed me to enjoy the show without any stress. I got to set the diaper bag down, soothe my fussy baby, and nurse. Baby slept through the show, and staff checked on me several times to make sure I was doing okay. And of course, the performers were amazing. I wish I could give more stars. Thank you, High Noon Saloon!

Cool vibe, I've seen a couple of shows there and they are constantly booking great bands. Staff are nice, drinks are great, great sorry to catch a show!

Madison's High Noon Saloon has been the center of the Madison music scene since its opening in May of 2004. The High Noon Saloon was created by Cathy Dethmers, former owner/manager (1994-2001) of Madison’s revered O’Cayz Corral. In 2001, O’Cayz was destroyed in a fire. The loss was a devastating blow to the music scene. But from the ashes of that catastrophe, Cathy Dethmers created the High Noon Saloon to carry forward the legacy of O'Cayz and succeeded in making the High Noon Saloon Madison’s most infamous and beloved rock club. The Skintones played the second night of the club's opening and have played every album release show there ever since. For us, it feels like a second home. 2024 will mark the 20-year anniversary of the High Noon Saloon. A truly remarkable achievement. The High Noon Saloon is more than a club. It's more than a landmark. The High Noon Saloon continues to be a vital part of the Madison music scene and is appreciated and treasured by bands and fans alike. Twenty years of the High Noon Saloon and cheers to twenty more!!!

The lighting here is always top notch. The staff is usually extremely kind and patient, though I have run into a few that are *not*. But usually the security is really nice and the people working the stage are really nice, too. Love the atmosphere of this place so much, there is a patio that is incredibly beautiful at night.
One of my top 5 favorite Madison venues for the music scene.
