Food was bland and service wasn't there. I should have walked down a little further to the next Chinese restaurant

Well apparently if you aren't asian you don't get served!! I ordered 3 meals and 2 appetizers and 6 people came in on a Thursday ordered there food 20 minutes after I sat there for 1 hour . I was there before the other people that ordered a meal ate it and left before I got my food ate the whole meal and left before I got my to go food . I've been here in the past but if you aren't asian don't go here!! I sat there watching people eat when waiting for an hour for food if I didn't pay cash I would of left!! I live in the neighborhood!!

An awesome hole in the wall foodie place. Good authentic Chinese food, definitely not Americanized Chinese food. So & so service, but you come here for the food. You know it is authentic & good when you see a lot of international students & foodies frequenting the place.

Not to be confused with Hong Kong Cafe a bit further east on Regent... the station is a hole in the wall type of place. Heard about it from a friend of a friend who agreed with the elite reviews saying you go here for the food, not the service/ambiance, and I'd agree. Seating area is limited. Online menu is pretty sparse on descriptions so I just went for I think hot and sour noodles. Minus the bean sprouts which I don't like (again, no real description so I didn't know what would come with it), I was pretty satisfied. I got it extra spicy and I'll say I could've stuck with regular spicy. They were more like soup noodles, and the taste reminded me a lot of the spicy soup base at hot pot. Pretty customizable for the specific things you want. They threw in a free canned drink when I picked my order up.

I got the Chicken and Mushroom clay pot rice and the Fried Rice with Diced Pork and Chinese Broccoli. This was definitely one of the better Cantonese style meals that I have been able to find in Madison. The claypot rice did not come in a clay pot so the bottom did not get as crispy of a bottom as I would hope for, but it was still delicious and a great to find in Madison.

Char-Siu and Chicken dishes are on par with some authentic Cantonese style restaurant you would find in a Chinatown somewhere, you know, the ones with the meat hanging in the window. Unfortunately I had to give this a low rating as the atmosphere was horrible. The dining area seemed like a storage area, and not just in corners, but on windowsills and even on the tables and chairs. There were also 2 high school aged kids sick coughing and sneezing, playing video games, and eating snacks sitting by the window. Turns out they worked there. If you are in the dining area sneezing and coughing, rubbing you nose, can you please first wash your hands before handling my food? Very unprofessional and unsanitary. Food sanitation 101!

I'd give this place a zero if I could. My wife and I visited about a month ago and while it's your typical 'hole in the wall' restaurant, the service here is non-existent / some of the worst I've ever received. When we arrived we actually had to step our head into the kitchen to get a menu despite having clear like of sight from the front door into said kitchen. We made our order and then waited. And waited. And waited. We saw the same for delivery guy come and go 5 times with online orders while we sat and wait in the restaurant. We waited an hour and a half and then my order arrived. Just mine. Had we not already paid we would've left much earlier. 20 minutes after my meal arrived part of my wife's order arrived. I get that businesses get busy, especially in food service, but there was 0 communication and zero effort from the (presumed) owner / operators about why it was taking so long. After almost two hours we finally had all of our food and left. The food was OK but not something so special I would recommend going here or choosing over another Chinese restaurant. If ordering online I assume you have a better experience but as someone not from the area I cannot recommend this place at all.

Had rice served with meat and rice. I would say the Cantonese BBQ they offer is fine if you just want to crave the flavor. Not the best, but taste good and close enough to let you know it's Cantonese BBQ. I would definitely choose this over other Chinese Express in the area though.

Amazing quality food for a totally reasonable price! A bit small in seating availability but a very friendly environment and close to UW campus as well. A lovely taste of Hong Kong cuisine.

Extremely rude. I had to see the reviews first.I entered, but no one was there. So the other customer who is Chinese called for the waiter. He was looking at his phone with headphones. That's why there was nobody. He just stared at me. So I asked is there any seat? which means could you please say anything? But guess what he said with an annoyance voice? Look around you. All you see is all seats. What the!! Very very impolite attitude. I won't go there forever.I recommend you not go here unless you are Chinese.Hope poetic justice comes here ? ???

Food is good but the services are terrible. I first call the restaurant to place an order. I was told to order on the app but the Eatstreet app only offer delivery option with extra fees charge. I called the restaurant to place the phone order again and was told they’re too busy and have no hands to write down my order and hung up on me.
