Typical giant grocery store. Not a bad place to buy very basic mass market packaged food -- cereal, chips, and so on. Like most giant grocery stores, checking the expiration dates on perishable food is a must. Finding expired items is not difficult. With an entire refrigerated case filled with sour cream, of all things, this isn't surprising that product doesn't move before it goes bad, but that's how it works when there's a big ole store to fill. I always get my kids birthday cakes here. There was a mishap with my online order, but they were quick to reassure me it would be taken care of. They do a great job and my cakes always turn out exactly how I expect them to.

The food is good, my only beef is , for whatever reason they can't seem to keep the "Hy-Vee" Take & Bake bread in stock. I've made as many as 5 special trips.
