The food is extremely overpriced for the quality it has. Everything tasted like it has just been microwaved and shoved onto a plate with no care at all. The atmosphere is quite decent but it can not save the terrible food. I miss the ramen from Ramen Kid so much :(

Horrible experience. One of us got the wrong meal, the rest all very disappointed. Food tasted like it was cooked yesterday and sat under a heat lamp for 3 hours.

Arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and got seated immediately. Ordered the Sapporo spicy miso ramen which was not bad and I liked how spicy they made the broth. The chicken karaage was very good as an appetizer - crunchy and flavourful. I would try something else other than their ramen if I come back again.

This place rocks. Hella good food and its open way late. Its what state street needed but not what they deserve. Staff are sweet and the interior makes you feel like you've been sent somewhere else. Get the Unagi, and the Sweet Potato!!! Many other menu options will take the average madisonian out of their comfort zone but are much better than the typical night fare

The cashier attempted to give the restaurant 5 stars on my phone. Completely unacceptable

This is a peculiar place for someone that's not traveled overseas. We waited for a long time wondering why no one was stopping by to take our order. You are supposed to order on your phone using their website... while you are sitting in their restaurant, which is fine. We would have liked to know that. There was no sign at the table saying that.
We ordered the Karaage, the Hibachi fried rice (Chicken), the Chicken ramen, the chicken wings, the chicken and onion yakitori, the shishito pepper, and the wagyu skewer.
The chicken ramen was good, everything else was very good. The wagyu skewer was chewy and was served on a small coal fired stove.
The server who delivered the food on the table did not communicate at all, she just dropped the food off and left.
The other server who seemed to be running the place was outright rude - would not refill our water, would not come to the table no matter how much we waived. The one time she stopped by without asking was in the middle of the meal to ask us to pay. We were still waiting for two of our dishes to arrive.
Good food overall - dishes that you don't generally find elsewhere in Madison, but the service and atmosphere was so over the top terrible that I doubt I will go back.

Disclaimer: first time in Madison, not realizing how much of a college town it is lol.

The food is okay, not mind blowing but was fine for a late night snack. Btw, we could tell the wagyu is not real wagyu, so that was a waste. It was very loud in there, considering we walked in during a busy night with a bunch of college kids blasting karaoke. Don’t get me wrong, I do love karaoke (and I did participate for a few songs), but be prepared for that to be the only music playing on a sat night lol. One thing that threw me off though was that one of the workers (probably a manager?) told me to review them (hence this review); however, she went ahead and touched my phone putting her *own* 5 stars for everything. And after telling her to stop, she made up a lie that they have to reach a “quota”. Puhhhleeeeeze. Very rude. So just let me clarify, some of these higher reviews may be misleading.
