If I was basing this review off of just today then it'd be a four star, but I have to think of all the times I've been here.The food quality is rather inconsistant. It can be anywhere from barely edible to 3-star restaurant quality; depending on day, time, weather, and general mood of whoever the chef is that day.The wait staff is very friendly and attentive to customers. However the cleanliness of the place is also inconsistant.I'd say this place is worth a visit, but don't have your hopes set too high.

The wait staff is very friendly and attentive to customers. I don't ever feel crowded or ignored. However the cleanliness of the place is also inconsistant. Usually the place is nearly spotless in the morning, but turn toward the sticky and grimy near the end of the day. I'd say this place is worth a visit, but don't have your hopes set too high.

You get what you pay for with Jade Garden. It's a cheap buffet for a reason. But that being said, the food quality is pretty good (keeping in mind it's cheap) and the service is always very friendly (again...for a buffet where you pretty much service yourself). Only thing you can't get yourself is drinks, which you have to wait for the host for, but they do pretty regular rounds. I've never seen it too busy, either, so you'll almost always get seated right away, on top of parking in that area being really easy to find if you can't find a spot out back. Otherwise, the food selection isn't large, but if you can't find something you want to eat in the options, you shouldn't have gone to a cheap asian buffet in the first place. Occasionally they won't refill the food in a timely manner, so you may get stuck for a bit with some cold remains, but you can just let the host know and they get right on it if they're not actively working on it in the first place. So all in all, I love going to Jade Garden: you always know what you're getting yourself into. Worth trying out for a quick asian food fix.

Vegetarian options when you order, not on buffet. General Tsos tofu was a blessing, but I wish the tofu was dryer before it was cooked. And the table had a tackiness to it. Good service though. And as an added bonus, a quarter machine where I got 90s troll doll temporary tattoos.

Super nice people send great food. Love the shrimp and crab. They have fish and teriyaki chicken, all the usual Chinese buffet items. I've been eating here for nearly ten years. Always good food.

Very good Chinese buffet everything was fresh and good. Staffordsville slow cleaning up plates and filling up drinks. But it was understandable it was quite busy. Which is what you like to see at a buffet. More fresh food coming out she's always nice. The restaurant as a whole was clean and bathrooms were clean.
Recurring customer. I have been to several Chinese buffet restaurants in Madison and this is easily one of the best in town. Highly recommend.

I'll never have dinner here again! The food was not stocked at 5 pm on a Sunday. There was about 5 to 8 pieces of chicken in each pan. The rice was crunchy and the noodles had a crisp crunchiness to all outer edges suggesting it had been out waaaaaay to long. Nothing was hot. It took a half hour to get food put back out there even after being asked. This used to be my favorite place to go what happened?! Simply disgusting!

Love this place. Been going for years kind of a tradition thing. They will make something fresh if u ask and the ladies are lovely. The guy cashier however is the reason they won't get 5 stars from me. And also the reason I don't go there as often as I used to. He creeps me out. He just watches you is never friendly. He just sits around In different spots and watches. He's been rude to me and accused me of having an inaccurate bill. He makes me not want to go there. And they could use the business so maybe put him in the back or let him go.
