Laredo's Mexican Restaurant in Madison has quickly become my go-to for authentic, satisfying Mexican cuisine, primarily because of one standout dish: their Chile Rellenos.
For me, a great Chile Relleno is all about the balance of texture and flavor, and Laredo's nails it every time. The poblano pepper is beautifully roasted and tender, perfectly complemented by a rich, savory cheese filling that is molten and gooey. The batter is light and fluffy—more like a delicate omelette than a heavy, oily coating—which is exactly how it should be. Smothered in their excellent, flavorful tomato-based sauce, the dish feels comforting and incredibly fresh. It’s the kind of dish that is so expertly prepared, you find yourself ordering it every single time, even when you promise yourself you'll try something new. Laredo's Chile Rellenos are, simply put, perfection.

Went for a birthday and the food is authentic Mexican food, they offer chili de arbol hot sauce which is the best in my opinion.

Was delivered by door dash, it was not very good I had gotten a three entree plate but everything tasted the same I couldn't tell one from the other, the one thing I did taste was the quesadilla and that was made with American cheese! Disgusting

Great place to meet and have dinner with friends after a long week. The chips and salsa was great. I had the carne asada which was good. The orchata is pretty good. A sweet little drink with dinner.

The food tasted a little odd but I couldn't place it. Just odd, plus my appetite was low for other reasons.
When I was sitting surrounded by the vomit and other vile liquids, I thought maybe unfair to mention food poisoning in a review.
But after it cost me over $600 out of pocket for a -$20 entree, I knew I was the only one getting the shaft here so they could skip hand washing or grabbed a piece of meat off the floor and threw it back in my food.
Been here many times. Not really sure how I can ever eat here again now after getting violently ill for the first half of this week. I may as well share and perhaps save someone else from my fate.

We popped in for lunch and im in love!! Charming atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food is sooooo good!!!
Huge portions the small margarita is the size of my head .. we had to get take out boxes for our meals !
