Laredo's Mexican Restaurant East Madison

Laredo's is absolutely fantastic!
We've been going there for years as well as Mexican Food is our absolute favorite- So when I say we have gone to probably just about every Dane County, Hispanic restaurant around we definitely have!

And Laredo's is by far our favorite!
It's plenty big so you don't feel crowded
The food is absolutely fantastic!
The kids menu is extremely filling for the kids!
But the ultimate reason we go is because they have the absolute best margaritas, hands-down! And even better yet we absolutely love our waitress. She's truly amazing! Not only is she a great waitress, but she is so friendly with our kids and she is so kind!

Was hoping this would be a good place but just not the case. Chips and salsa were not bad. The frozen margaritas were not bad. The food had really no flavor. Quite disappointed. Shrimp, no flavor and barely cooked. Ribs eye steak was very thin and no seasoning. Will not be back.

I love Lorados! Just recently tried them for the first time and I've been back 4 times since. The food is very flavorful and consistent. I especially love the guacamole, it's smoother rather than super chunky and tastes fresh. The chips and salsa are also very good and the chips are always fresh, still warm. The staff are excellent and you never have an empty drink (or salsa!). Also, their coca cola tastes especially good and not watered down.

Inside was dark and dingy, the walls needed to be cleaned because they had food/beverage splatter on them. The cup I was given for my lemonade was clearly old and had seen plenty of wear and tear and was rather unappealing to drink from as such.

The food was less than. It had very little to no flavor to it. I had a combo meal of a beef enchilada and taco; hard shell taco that wasn't specified and I had figured it would be a soft shell, corn tortilla. The beef tasted like what I would have gotten at a Taco Bell, dry, grainy and filled with disappointment. Even the rice was a let down as it was just rice that looked like it was seasoned but had nothing going for it.

As for service, our waitress was pleasant. We were seated thoughtfully as I was with my Grandma who struggles to walk so it was nearer the entry but not so close it felt awkward. Food came out quick but not hot; plate was hot just not the meal.

All in all, I would not recommend going here.

Margaritas were very disappointing. We were a party of 6 ($200) and ordered 2 pitchers. Very weak! Food was good. Nice Warm chips! Service very good.

Good food but bad dish washers, be sure to check your plates, glasses and utensils. I had stuck on food in my glass.

My first time eating here and I was not disappointed. The salsa had a great kick to it and the food was delicious. We shared a pitcher of margarita and went home happy.

Ok so I'm just going to say the server was very patient and the food was amazing.
Very good server and cook.
Chimi was large and crispy all good was fresh.
Very chill eating area.

When I received my nachos order, the chips were stale. A bag of fresh chips was provided with the order, but it made me wonder whether the toppings were even fresh or if it was a previously made order that didn’t get used?. Not sure about that but the chips were very stale. Plenty of meat, but it too was kind of chewy. The rest of the toppings were good.

Excellent food, excellent service and I haven't had anything that wasn't good there.

I do wish they did offer queso blanco without out a charge but other than that it's really good.

They do refill the chips and salsa when you ask them

We go there often with different family members and it's nice to just sit and talk while we eat

Never gave felt rushed even when close to closing
