Good fried cod & good coleslaw, my husband enjoyed getting a roll on the side & asparagus was a nice option. Waitress was nice, even the bartender came over to the table to fill our drinks which was unexpected. Nice place but it is loud. Parking stalls are little tight but there is extra around back.

Stopped by tonight for their Friday fish fry. Our server was a solid 5 stars. On every visit, the service has been fantastic!We recommend the fried bluegill when available and the fried cod. The only downside is that it can be quite loud during their busy times.

Out of towners, popped in for a drink and some food. Service was excellent, menu was wide, and food was great. Will definitely stop in again next time in Madison!

This is a fun, relaxing, jeans and a t-shirt kinda experience! If you've been craving a large, old-fashioned, juicy, made to order, delicious pub burger, look no further. Or try one of their tasty salads or brick-oven baked pizzas! I didn't have a chance to jump into their beer menu, but am looking forward to that on my next visit. Because there will be a next time for me, to just hang out, (maybe on their Friday night fish fry?) with a friendly, neighborhood crowd, chatting and laughing and maybe just being a little bit of happy in the inclusive atmosphere of the Lazy Oaf.I say, try out this "Everybody Knows Your Name" kinda place. It's exactly what you would expect from a friendly Wisconsin, neighborhood experience.
