Food is good. Service is nice. Would say that it’s quite underrated.
Good food, good people.
Food was brought out incomplete. Out food arrived to our table missing ingredients. When we asked about the missing avocado we were told there was no staff to smash more so the food would be served without. We were only told this once the food arrived and not offered any compensation/ option to order something else. Food took a long time, arrived cold and the waiter dropped it off without a word. Very overpriced.
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Always had good service. A must-visit for a delicious meal when you are in Madison.

Umm…can you say “hidden gem?”
I got the House Watermelon margarita and Vegetarian Buffalo Cauliflower taco with ranch and blue cheese. All on special during ‘Maxwell Street Days.’
I’m not even kidding [seriously, not] when I say that I teared up when I bit into the Buffalo Cauliflower taco! It’s like one of THE best vegetarian food items I’ve ever even had in my LIFE!
Watermelon house margarita is to die for.
Atmosphere is hip and classy, darkened lighting but with windows so it’s just the right setting.
You get to “pick your vibe” if you sit in a booth by picking which piece of art you sit under. We picked the “Day of the Dead” skeleton with red roses!
Our server was attentive and sweet!
Go! You won’t regret it.
Vegetarian options: 3 different vegetarian taco options!

Decent margaritas but the 4% convenience fee is too excessive.
This was my 2nd time here. Great service! Decent happy hour deals. Flavorful Margaritas. Try the huckleberry! Such a variety for Taco options. You order them individually. I got 2 and they were delicious and filling.
The menu is labeled if you need vegetarian, gluten free, etc.
The have patio seating outside on State Street. It wasn't set up the day we were there.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.
Menu items are labeled.
Corn tortillas instead of flour.
Inform staff of allergies.

Restaurantji Recommends
Dog food tasting “carnitas” and margaritas were sickly sweet with little to no tequila, also the queso tasted exactly like Fritos dip
Completely overcharged. Happy hour is bogus. Asked about happy hour special and bartender told us what was on special then when bill came was 30% more than expected. Turns out they didn’t “ring” in as what he expected and instead of making it right he just said he “didnt know” and walked away. Meanwhile the same tequila he said they used in their draft cocktails that are also on special. Feel ripped off. Bartender could have made an effort to correct but instead walked away from a customer. As a year round local would not recommend. Deceptive and rude.

Chips and salsa were great. Food quality, portions, and atmosphere was definitely not worth the price. I ordered a burrito for about $16 and that included a small burrito cut in half, that’s it(no sides or sauce). Our group ordered a pitcher of margarita for $45 that was mostly ice and barely filled 3 glasses worth. Very below average restaurant.
