MACS (Macaroni And Cheese Shop) Madison

Great experience for a casual eatery. Delicious for adults and kids. Loved that they had a couple different flavors of Cholula on the tables. Our server/order taker was super chill and nice. It's *maybe* pricier than other fast type foods, but not too bad (the state of inflation has got my scale all off 😂).
We also loved that there's a smoothie place next door 👍👍

Their seasonal specials like the lobster mac are the best, take out is best value for leftovers.

The service was great. I am on crutches and needed their help to get my food and drink out the car. They were happy to help.
The space looks very clean and quite new.
The inside of the bathroom was accessible but the door was pretty heavy so it made it difficult to get in and out of.
I would return. They also have an option to order online and pick up at the window or to dine in and skip the line.

Food was tasty but I was extremely disappointed in the small portion sizes for $13+. Probably won’t be back. Photo of a regular size for reference.

Accidentally paid for small cups over large, they told me and i said ok. I try to get my kids to the booth and they act like i am stealing over $5.82 when they saw i was busy with my kids and was going to come back up like i told the lady. I love macs but i will not return to this location. I would give negative stars if i could.

I have been to Macs in Wisconsin Dells and they are much better than the Madison west one. Food was a little over cooked. One of the front workers stood around talking to a friend more than paying attention to customers.

Love Mac’s anywhere but here. Came for lunch, no more than 5 other customers and waited somewhere between 20-30 minutes for a Mac and a soup that took 5 minutes more. Food came ice cold and after asking them to heat it up, was still lukewarm. Usually love but couldn’t eat. Sun prairie location is 1000x better food and service. Disgusting!!! Do better, won’t be coming back

Don't bother ordering online. Last two times it took 40 minutes to get my food. Showed up 5 minutes after it said it would be ready and waited 10 minutes longer. 40 minutes for one regular sized mamma macs is absurd. Place was empty too.

Love Mac’s and trying all of the many varieties they have. However was very disappointed in this months “special.” Ordered the Breakfast Mac which was advertised as potatoes, peppers, onions, bacon, cheddar, and sausage gravy. Upon getting it home, there was no sausage gravy in the dish at all! I figured the gravy could be embedded in the sauce, but after finding no sausage and no gravy I was disappointed. Tasted more like the baked potato mac. I will not be ordering the specials again if they won’t come as advertised.

Great Food and Convenient Service

MACS is a fantastic spot with really good food and a diverse menu that has something for everyone. The portions are big, and while it’s a little pricier, it’s definitely worth it.

The convenience is a big plus—there’s easy parking, a drive-through, and the option to order online and pick up, which worked perfectly. The service was also super fast. Highly recommend!
