I got the banh mi, and it was delicious. The tofu in it was really nicely prepared — it had a great chew and beautiful golden sear. The mushroom pate was also great! I got the fries with it, and those were delicious and perfectly salted. And it was a great amount of food, especially for the price! The staff I encountered were also so very friendly and super helpful. I’d come here all the time if I lived here. There’s so much variety on the menu too!
We loved our meal & the food came out quickly! We would definitely come back again! Great to have a fully vegan restaurant in Madison. Good location & good portion sizes as well.
Everything is well made, the "worst" thing on the menu is the banh mi, which isn't really a banh mi but rather a sandwich on thick cut bread with similar flavor, but its still very good. Fries are great, the "bunny balls" (fried rice balls) are awesome. The flatbreads also have a nice texture and quality to them. Legit no bad options.
Good Vegan spot in Madison Updated from previous review on 2025-08-31
place is awesome. small cafe, middle of the woods vibe, very relaxed. who i assume the owner is, nate?, was super nice n friendly. menu is the perfect size, a few diff cuisines but not an abundance of options. the recommended bunny-less balls are really tasty. i like the lemon herb sauce that compliments them. no harm no foul sandwich was also good. doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. chipotle sauce is great, everything was really balanced portion wise. fruit on the side was fresh. cookie crème pie thing is insane. i’m eating it right now and you’d think it would be overly sweet but no. it’s perfect 🤩 half the sandwich and appetizer filled me up quick. slightly pricey, worth it. i’m genuinely surprised by the attention to detail from a little hole in the wall restaurant. i will be back for the birria tacos and loaded fries.
We had a hard time settling on what to order with so many great options! The chef gave his recommendations and prepared our sandwiches quickly. The bunny-less balls are a must-try. Fiesta wrap and No Harm No Foul were both top notch! The wrap was a great "healthier" option with lots of veggies and grilled tofu - consider asking to go light on the Chipotle mayo if you're looking for a healthier option.
You gotta get to Mad Rabbit asap!
Very kind and friendly staff, filling meals, fun vibes at this totally vegan restaurant. Even the omnivores in our group were really happy with their food.
I got the food delivered, and it came relatively quickly. The Smokehouse burger was ok. It was pretty salty and the BBQ sauce flavor didn't really come through. The single crep was more like a pancake, but fine. The Bunny-less balls were super yummy! I highly recommend those and get extra sauce! A solid vegan spot.
Lots of tasty, simple options. Very quick and friendly service.

Food is absolutely wonderful here. I had the sauced up fries and southwest tofu wrap previously. This time I’m indulging in the rabbits delight flatbread. Super flavorful. The pesto was also on the sauced up fries. Pesto and cashew sauce is to die for.
Have been in for brunch twice now and everything we’ve had was great. So nice to have an all vegan spot with a decent variety of food.
I had the flat bread and a vegan donut. Both were wonderful. Great little spot in Madison.
They had a delicious brunch with a great balance of sweet and savory options. Everything was delicious and they also have a small selection of donuts and cinnamon rolls (on Sunday) from level 5 donuts so that was a nice option.
Madison doesn't have many fully vegan restaurants, so this is certainly a gem of a place. The food is all delicious and they often run specials. Be aware that the food is on the salty side (and I love salty food, so that's a lot coming from me). I know some vegans have mixed feelings on impossible/beyond products and that is exclusively what they use for burger patties.
