We placed a pickup order today. We were taking lunch and doing a picnic. While your bread is excellent, we were very disappointed that a $14 Turkey sandwich had 1-2 slices of Turkey on it. Also silverware wasn’t included. I got a salad so I ended up having to eat your salad with my hands. We love your bread and business but please make the sandwiches fuller of deli meat.

I met a friend here for the first time. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Once we ordered, we sat outside on the adorable patio.

For breakfast I ordered a peach danish (delicious!), orange juice (freshly squeezed), and the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon. The sandwich was delicious. It was cheesey, and the croissant was flakey and absolutely perfect.

The outdoor patio is so cute. I’m mad at myself for not staying longer to read a book.
I also got a chocolate chip cookie to go, which was also wonderful.

I will definitely be back

Parking: There’s a parking lot just around the corner! And also street parking available if the lot is full.

Always excellent! Had the turkey sandwich and eggs diablo. Both outstanding! Also had the cardamom and chocolate cakes. Wonderful! We always come here when we are in Madison.

Great sandwiches and very generous portions. The quality of the food was very good and the bread freshly made. Limited seating was the only issue when crowded.

Overall had a nice time and would come again. It was a bit pricey. For two sandwiches, two drinks and a slice of cake paid about 50$. thought the food was creative but didn't love my sandwich (the kats meow). However the quiche and the cornmeal cake sandwich were nice. My Ube latte didn't taste like l've much at all but the coffee was good and my parents blueberry lavender latte was lovely. The shining star of the whole thing was the peaches and cream cake. I would absolutely return but would probably go with a dish that highlights their bread more and is simple as that is obviously their strong point.

I can’t believe I only discovered Madison Sourdough last year after visiting Madison since 2014!
The cheese grits with eggs and pimento cheese are so addictive, I had it three time in one week last year. I can’t believe my favorite breakfast grits dish is from Wisconsin! Ask for extra scallions. It really helps brighten the dish but they’re skimping on it this year.
The baked goods are really good. The standout is the Kouign amann. It’s better than the ones I tasted in France, from Paris to Marseille.
The sourdough bread, as someone who used to live in San Francisco, was really good. Not quite as tangy as I wanted it to be, but better than many.

Anytime I visit Madison I make a point of stopping here. I bake my own bread and have an appreciation for places that make their own, Madison Sourdough's is amazing. The Drew is my favorite breakfast sandwich ever and if it ever leaves the menu I will weep, perfect mix of spicy, sweet, and savory. Can't recommend enough!!

Madison Sourdough offers a delightful variety of bread, from classic sourdough to unique seasonal options. Their pastries, like the chocolate almond croissant, are exceptional. The outdoor patio, adorned with metal furniture, provides a charming setting, while the cozy indoor ambiance invites relaxation and a space for work. Get here early on weekends. Service here is consistently excellent, making every visit a pleasure.

This is the only restaurant on Willy Street my partner and I have visited this past weekend that has not disappointed us. The person taking orders was friendly and our food and drinks were ready shortly for carryout. Had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast biscuit and both were delicious, as well as the side salad they come with.

Having lived in the Midwest for the past year, it's always been a bit tricky to find a place that does both great pastries and coffee. It's usually one or the other. Madison Sourdough has got them both.

Visiting Madison for work, I found this place... and I'm glad I did. Friendly staff and welcoming industrial chic ambiance. I ordered a chocolate babka, a five-grain sourdough and a small cappucino. The prices were fair, and reflective of the quality of their products.

Everyone already raves about the pastries and bread (which I agree with, the babka was gone in a flash), but the cappuccino made my Australian heart sing.

Thank you Madison Sourdough, for a great start to my business trip. I wish I had been assigned to this city so that I could be a regular customer of yours.

Kid-friendliness: The staff were quite friendly to their children patrons at the queue in front of me.
