I love old hole in the wall bars but this place raised the bar (pun intended)! Travis was quick with the drinks and even quicker with the fun banter! We were in from Texas visiting our daughter who just moved here and have been so impressed with how friendly everyone here is.... and this place is no exception! Had 5 new friends by the end of the visit. Yall are really are Texans who just talk funny 😀. If your reading this review then you just need to come here and have a spotted cow and some cheese curds.

The food was mediocre/decent nothing spectacular but because the service was so bad, it made the food experience drop. My husband went there on his lunch break, the lady at the bar wouldn’t service him. She was rude to him and this is not the first time, him and I came there before, and we were the only black people in there. I didn’t want to think it was a racist environment until the second experience that my husband encounters. I guess they only want white business and it shows. Word of mouth can either be good for a business or hurt it. I will make sure to spread the word that my kind is not welcome there. It’s other places to eat. They can keep this hole in the wall.

I needed somewhere to host a birthday party and the staff could not have been more accommodating. I called first and spoke to Travis who was very friendly and communicated details to staff who would be working that night, and then all staff there was so helpful in making sure everything went as planned. I wish I had gotten each of their names. I can’t recommend the Depot enough for great vibes, darts, and people!

Main Depot is an iconic bar, but just goes to show businesses are at the mercy of having good and caring employees. Walked in on Friday, May 31st at 4:30pm to have a beer. I grabbed one of the 5-6 open barstools. The female bartender wearing a baseball cap was talking with a couple people at the corner of the bar. After a few minutes it appeared her conversation was over when she momentarily walked away, only to grab something to take back and show them. It was obviously not a business conversation based on the friendly touching of each other's hands/wrists. After 3-4 minutes I noticed the people on either side of me had empty drinks and also waiting. I decided life is to short and walked out vs guessing how much longer the employee would take to wrap the personal conversation. By walking out I avoided puttingn myself thru the internal struggle of whether I should tip or not in that situation. So the bar lost revenue, the employee lost a tip and I left thirsty. Nobody wins. :(
