We are so happy we tried this place! We both agreed the jumbo fried chicken wings are the best we’ve had in Madison. The baked cheesy macaroni was pretty good. One thing that really caught us by surprise were the collard greens. We both agreed they are the best we’ve had anywhere period! The sauces were great as well. Marie is sure a nice person too. We will definitely be a returning customer!

Been here before and the food was great each time. Have brought different groups of people every time I went and they loved the food. The chicken was seasoned well, ribs were good, the yams were good, greens were good although too much pepper sometimes, and the cornbread muffin was perfect. Had my first time trying the late night menu, and I honestly felt let down by the food quality. Chicken was unseasoned, catfish flavor was underwhelming, and the mac and cheese was dry. Greens were still good though. Havent left a review before because most people online agreed with my thoughts. This is an honest criticism and to me how the food tastes is the most important, I am not trying to hate on a small business. Thank you.

Life changing. I work on Monroe Street and there are many different options for food, but I would recommend this for someone looking for a real meal that's also cheap. I got their on-the-go sample for $5 along with a cornbread muffin (ended up just under $7). Euphoric. Chicken was so good and so were the sides included. Cornbread wasn't dry either which is something I really appreciate. Recommended it to my co-workers even.
