A State Street classic! Best Mediterranean food in the area. Used to eat here multiple times a week when in college. Happy to see years later they are still here and the food is just as amazing! Try the chicken apricot pie. You will not be disappointed. Finish it off with a piece of baklava.

The plates are affordable and the portion sizes are perfect. In terms of food, the highlight for me was the hummus! It's a great spot since it's very accessible from the campus. The service is super quick and a good option for those looking for a quick meal before heading to work. I love the vibs and the seating which is very conducive for conversation but with also smaller table options for those seeking alone time.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE FOOD IN MADISON. It’s always fresh. It’s in a great location. The employees are always incredible. It’s quick. You get a lot of food for the price. The food is to die for. While I was at UW Madison I ate here (I’m not exaggerating) 4-6 times a week!!! Now I’m back in Madison and it’s the same quality. Cannot recommend this place enough. EAT HERE. The Shawarma Beef and Lamb plate is my all time favorite. I could (and basically have) eat it every single day.

I had to check all the boxes on this one! Coming off of a swing graveyard shift, I of course googled gyros near me and I was treated to this recommendation; no wait for a to go order, excellent description of the offering, and it was delivered to the sidewalk before I could finish my smoke, and the food was what I needed, dessert and dinner at the same time absolutely. Hit them up!
Mediterranean Cafe is an amazing restaurant/cafe with amazingly nice people working there!!! The food is also wonderful, not to mention their delicious sweet mint tea... I give it five stars and would recommend it to anybody! 😁
