Best in Madison- Custard is amazing and the burgers are delicious. The malts are vastly superior to Culver’s. The location is beautiful too as you can walk down by the lake. Highly Recommended!

Burgers made fresh just to your liking. Best burgers we have had in Madison. Perfect bun to burger ratio. Fresh ingredients used for toppings. Sweet potato fries and fried cheese curds were excellent. Playlist vibe was fun! Affordable too! Service was fast and friendly! Good job, Michael's!!!!!!!

Just had my first two cheese burgers here with fries and of course frozen custard ? ?. The fries are cut up potatoes, not frozen, which was great. I was torn between the regular fries and the sweet potato fries. I went with what was on the favorites menu, which did not let me down. Ordering was a breeze, as they have a computer system in place that you just tap what you want. Easy Peasy.. Had the choice to eat in or take out. I chose out, so I could eat in the home office right across the street. They do give you a discount when you use cash. Better than Culver's any day.Parking: If you do not want to park, they have a drive through.Kid-friendliness: There was some very well behaved kids there.Wheelchair accessibility: Simple ramp.

Michael’s frozen custard is the best. Nothing else compares to the quality of the custard and the ingredients in their sundaes. It’s a true Madison local business and worth the cost.

I've been eating at Michael's for years now but now they have kiosks to order( not sure when they were put in). No big deal with them. Order my food then it asks me if I want to tip. I've got no problem tipping when there is human interaction so I picked no tip. Then I get my receipt and I was changed a tip.People that work here seem nice. Food is good and inside is really clean.

went there to try their burger and twister. the food was very good (especially the fries) and the server was very nice. but the food was on the more expensive side. for a bacon cheeseburger and twister it was about $20. overall very happy liked my experience but given the prices will probably be a once in a while treat.

We ordered a cheese dog, burger, chicken strip, and fries. First time here and last time. Cheese sauce was all over the container and the bun was broken in half and it wasn't very good quality. Cheese burger leaked grease and mayo through the wrapper and made a mess in the car less than 2 minutes down the road. Very disappointed. I wish you the best of luck improving from here.

Good custard but poor customer service. My fiancé and I went to get sundaes and when we arrived, despite there being no other customers, the staff indicated we should order at the kiosk. We were happy to do so, but when we tried to pay the kiosk did not work. They decided to take our order at the main register, but when we ran the card there it also wasn't going through at all. The screen wasn't changing, and it was responding as if it was still waiting for the card to be run through the machine. We decided to give up and go home, but a few days later we found out the card was charged for the custard. I went back to the shop and the cashier looked through the previous transactions on the main register but couldn't find the charge. She was unable to see the charges from the kiosk, so I left the card details, my name, and my phone number with her and she said she would pass it along to her manager so they could look through the transactions. That was almost two weeks ago and I never heard back. It was a mastercard giftcard, not a credit card, so I can't dispute the transaction and we are just out that money. It was really disappointing, as we are saving up for our wedding so we could only justify going out for custard because someone had given us that giftcard, and we only learned it was charged because when we tried to go somewhere else to get an alternative treat a few days later the card didn't have the funds on it anymore, and I had to call to discover it was charged at Michaels. This situation has unfortunately put a bit of a stain on the custard shop that I used to love so much. My aunt always took me to Michael's growing up, and as I recently moved back to Madison I was excited to share it with my fiancé as well. All in all I would say get the custard, but maybe pay cash or use a credit card that you could dispute the charge with if this were to happen to you.

A bit pricey for cream and custard, but the staff was very welcoming and eager to take my order. They were also very knowledgeable about the inquiries I had about their product.

Will not come again. Ordered two coffees and asked for water. Manager said sorry, we only sell bottled water. How humiliating to make your customers fill drinking water in Madison from a restroom tap! And moreso when asked why, he made up story about people used to come just drink water and not buy anything. Should be a public health code violation.

Michael's Frozen Custard on Atwood in Monona, Wisconsin is the best frozen custard place around!I've been to Michael's many times, and I've always had a great experience. The custard is always fresh and delicious, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.I recently watched the cult classic film "The Stuff" on a streaming service, and it made me crave some frozen custard. I'm so glad I chose Michael's! The custard is so creamy and rich, and it has the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. I highly recommend Michael's to anyone looking for a delicious and refreshing frozen custard treat.I'm addicted to Michael's Frozen Custard like the people in "The Stuff" are addicted to that marshmallow-like white substance. It's so good, it's like a cult classic in its own right. I'm not sure what they put in it, but it's magical. The custard is so creamy and smooth, and the flavors are always on point. My favorite is the chocolate, but I've also had the vanilla, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip, and they're all delicious. If you're looking for a delicious and refreshing frozen custard treat, I highly recommend Michael's. It's the best in the area, hands down. Just don't get too addicted!
