I am a huge fan of this place. Similar places have just too much sugar or sweetened food. Mirch's food is is just right for me.

We had dinner on a weeknight. Food was amazingly good. Service was perfect. Surprising no one else was there which detracted from the atmosphere, but at least it was quiet enough to chat.

Tried buffet at lunch. Limited choices, tastes just okay and over cooked/ fried. Chicken tandoori was simply deep fried. Atmosphere is not well maintained.

Finally ordered lunch for pick up from here, have been meaning to try it for a long time, and it did not disappoint!! I got my standard order, samosa chaat, daal, an garlic naan. The portion of samosa chaat was substantial, probably enough on it's own! But can't skip the garlic naan, which was perfectly grilled and perfectly garlicky. The person at the host stand was so lovely as well. I asked them if there were a lot of vegetarian items on the lunch buffet, she said yes and that I could go look, and pointed out an entire section. It probably would have been more economical for me to get the buffet than my order and maybe I will do that in the future. I appreciate that the vegetarian items are in their own section and clearly labeled. The atmosphere is totally fine, it is clean and well cared for, however a bit dated and the decor of the place that was there previously. I will definitely return for take out and or buffet, hopefully with my office mates. It was not very busy at noon on a weekday... we have a literal gem here - seriously go eat there!

We got here during their slow period between lunch and dinner, and the food and service was still excellent.

Mirch is hands-down the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My partner and I come here often for special events and date nights.

You have to understand that the service won’t be as American-centric and it isn’t American-owned (which is why it tastes so good!) They might not come around to your table all the time, but they will deliver you some incredible food that is made with love and is very authentic. I will never stop recommending this place and I hope it stays open for a long time.

Tried their weekend buffet and I was very disappointed! I have eaten much better Indian food in Madison! Server didn't refill the buffet table, many things were missing. Also service is very poor - server didn't ask even once if I need more water or anything else during the buffet. Restaurant was very empty during my visit, only about 5 customers.

You will definitely find better Indian food in Madison, for example Amber Indian Cuisine in Middleton (they also have Indian buffet)! I will never come again to Mirch Masala.

Worst chicken tikka masala I have had that I can remember. The sauce was so obviously canned tomato soup, it was horrible. Super disappointed when I got this home.

Went for an early easter dinner. Friendliest staff, amazing food. And good price. A little gem hidden away. I had goat biriani. My mother had an eggplant dish. And my boyfriend had the classic butter chicken. All were amazing. The ginger Naan was unique and amazing. It's well worth a visit!
