Was our first time dining here and ordered take out. Online ordering system was very easy with great pictures to aid selection. Chicken empanadas were delicious, as were the guava dessert empanadas. I also enjoyed the stew.

Very bad, terrible, they take too long, it cannot be that a meal has to wait more than 30

I was in the area for business so I decided to try Peruvian food as I normally had good experiences at other restaurants. The service was terrible; I have been there twice. The first time I considered that it was just a case of a rude school girl with no work experience but I was greeted in the manner the second time. The food is not a good representation of Peruvian food also.

Overall clean ambiance. The food was below expectations. I’ve been to Peru and Peruvian restaurants around the globe. The aji de gallina here was quite disappointing. Tasted like plain paste - whoever made it clearly didn’t use aji amarillo.

Second time coming to Mishqui, and this time I was gravely underwhelmed. To start, the restaurant was very cold, and not properly heated for the amount of windows that they have. The menu isn’t updated, and many of the items they don’t serve anymore, or only serve on the last weekend of the month. We ordered aguadito de pollo (soup), a Peruvian empanada, ceviche de pescado, and 1/4 pollo ala brasa (monstrito). The Peruvian empanada was flaky, but lacked depth of flavor and most Peruvian empanada ingredients like raisins and egg. The mix had a gamey taste and wasn’t up to par.The ceviche was not made in a traditional Peruvian style with leche de tigre, ginger, cilantro root, and celery (all blended with lime and a small piece of fish). It also lacked flavor and was served before it was given time to cook in the lime. The pollo ala brasa was devoid of salt and most of the traditional flavors, but was heavily seasoned with cumin. We ordered the monstrito which came with arroz chaufa which was sweet, much too oily, and had pieces of sheet egg in it.The only two redeeming qualities of the meal were the yuca frita, which is hard to mess up, and the canchita (fried chulpe corn). In total, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant anymore, as the experience has changed completely and the food is a remnant of what it used to be, and far from what Peruvian cuisine should be.

Greatly underwhelmed. I was excited to try it out after reading good reviews. I have been trying to find good Aji de gallina since Inka Heritage closed in Madison. The dish here was very bland with very little chicken. Another in our party had Lomo Saltado and said it was excellent. Empanadas were very good.

Fantastic bakery, especially guava empanada and tarts. Food appears and tastes hand made from scratch. I will be back!
The staff is great with people with allergies. Love being able to have something different to eat!

I will be honest. I was a HUGE mishqui fan when they first opened but unfortunately this last visit did not taste great. Consistency is important and I'm not sure if there has been a change in cook or recipe or just an off day, but we were not satisfied with how everything tasted. Staff were friendly and nice. The restaurant has implemented an automatic 15% gratuity for dine in (which actually I don't mind since I always tip that or more). I'm sad one of my favorite restaurants in the area doesnt taste the same.

I went to eat a leche de tigre, they told me that they didn't have it and that they were going to take it off the menu, otherwise good service. We ate the following: the chaufa (Masomenos was there), the causa (Masomenos), the ceviche if it was good.

This place has some of the most delicious food I've had out in a long time!!! A bit expensive but totally worth it. Absolutely delicious full flavors with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it!
