They serve high quality rolls and other Japanese cuisine. The ingredients are very fresh and presentation is excellent. The service was good as well. The ambience is modern and comfortable. Prices are average for the quality that you get. I would definitely recommend them.

Great looking place. Great looking menu. Too bad I couldn't try it after waiting for over 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Only 3 other tables were occupied that already had their food do it wasn't like it was a busy rush.

Sushi is great with some selections that are unique. The cod is usually good, only once was it poor quality. I love the Asian slaw and miso soup.

Most important: the staff are so patient, friendly, and amazing with gluten allergies and severe shellfish allergies. If shellfish is even slightly near a piece of fish you want they will let you know, and give you other suggestions if you ask.Secondly: the blue mackerel sashimi is literally the best thing I have ever had. I had a carry out order, but if I was there I would have ordered 20 more. The only con is that I have been trying to get my hands on the fatty tuna sashimi forever and it’s always sold out. I suppose it speaks to how great of a piece of fish it likely is.I will always recommend this place. I have been many times before, and I will continue to go.Bonus: they give me no shame every time time I go in and need a fork. Chopsticks are my mortal enemyDietary restrictions: Great with shellfish and gluten allergies. They take them very seriously

I'm absolutely shocked this restaurant isn't rated even higher on here...this was the best sushi / teriyaki I've had since living in SF and the service was amazing! ? What a treat. Thank you!

Had the miso soup and it had 2 hairs in it. Had the house mixed drink that was horrible. I feel like we paid for the name and not the food. The server never said her name. She took the soup and never asked if we wanted something else or to get it comped. We will not be back.

Our food was great. We got a chef’s special and a few other rolls to share amongst those of the table. I don’t recall what the chef special was, but it was some types of fish. I wouldn’t have normally ordered, and was glad to have the opportunity to try. Everything was clearly fresh and up. Good quality. Our drinks were also excellent. We ordered from the menu. Our server was great as well. My only complaint is that the ambience is a little cold metal chairs, cement floor. I’m not sure if I’m thinking of the old King Street location or the Hilldale location has remodeled since I’ve been there last but I seem to remember there being big cozy booths. Oh well, it sure won’t prevent me from eating there! Final thought: order the miso soup it is so freaking good here! It is easily the best miso in Madison.

The food was absolutely amazing. I had the ribeye and Rosa Salmon sushi and it was phenomenal. My partner had the maki combo (chefs special) and she loved it as well. Service was great and love the vibes in there. Definitely recommend.

When I got there, my friend was there before me and she came out of the bathroom and said she never had seen dirty one like Muramoto’s before. I had a bad feeling but proceeded to order maki combo. Friends and I had great dinner but in 12 hours later, I started to vomit violently and ended up in an urgent care for IV because I was puking so much and was dehydrated. Zofran helped with nausea. It took 4 days to recover but my gut is still struggling after 10 days. If you like yourself, you should not go to Muramoto. I’m disappointed.

Came here on a Saturday. Party of 4. No wait.I think this place is the best sushi in Madison but I've also never been to RED downtown. The wait is a bit long for food.

FOOD [1/5] Honestly my food was not that great. I did not end up eating it. The tofu I had was flavorless and I've had better sushi for better price. SERVICE [3/5] Service was fine, nothing too exceptional. Waitstaff seemed like they didn't care. AMBIANCE [2/5] Ambiance was too casual considering the expense of the food. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming. Overall would not recommend. Not worth the money.
