Such a cool, unique place. My husband and I went here when visiting Madison. I got the 3 cup chicken, and he got the Dan Dan noodles. Both were so good! I love their cocktail menu too. There were so many I would have loved to try. Next time we're in the area, we'll have to come back :)

I have been coming to Natspill for a while for their food, but I believe last weekend was the last. Sat at the bar for the first time ever, and within a few minutes of our drinks being served, a cockroach crawled in between me and my girlfriend. We waited to see it again, and when we did, we called out to one of the chefs and he squashed it in front of us.

A few of the employees even the chef apologized and comped our drinks, but shortly after our food being served, we saw another cockroach on top of the bar. We should have left right there without paying, but instead we decided to sit patiently to alert staff again.

We did, and we got our appetizer comped. It's not that I disagree with the way they comped our food, I just think they should have gone a little bit more than above and beyond with an apology. The place is overall disgusting especially the small kitchen they have.

I worked in a kitchen before, cockroaches are a thing - but a clean kitchen removes majority of that issue.

Good vibes, good music, good drinks, good location. Slow service, microwave level food, a little too dirty even for a speakeasy.

All in all, go for the vibes and the experience and the drinks, consider the food a bonus but it's certainly not the main event. If the food stepped it up, it has potential to be an elite tier spot. Oh, and if they took reservations online.

Food for thought for the powers that be. 👨🏽‍🎨

Dan dan noodles were greasy and not good, mainly fettucine with chili oil. Otherwise service and everything else was great.

Table we were sitting at near the window was a little tough, as there wasn't a place to put your feet on the window side. Server was nice, but seemed to be taking quite a few tables.

Was disappointed by the dandan noodles, seemed to be more gravy than actual spices.

Absolutely incredible food. The Pork Dumpings are the best dumplings I've ever had, make sure to start with those. The three cup chicken and the pork sammie were also delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly. A must stop for dinner!

The Google Maps summary says this place is cash only, but they do in fact accept credit cards!

It is, no doubt, an eclectic restaurant. Came here for dinner on Saturday night, and we were seated relatively quickly (~10 min wait) in the back, which was nice because it was too loud to converse with friends in the front end. Anyways, I tried the Aviation cocktail and the Veggie Dan Dan. It was pretty good, but the noodles seemed a bit oily and didn’t come with tofu like I thought they would (maybe I’d meant to order something else). We also had the cheese wontons, which were an interesting try (not bad to try once but personally didn’t love). Overall though, good food, pretty cool atmosphere, and great service!

This is one weird place- but really cozy! Menu is a little strange but the food tastes great. Atmosphere feels like a cross between Pirates of the Carribean and John Wick. It's hard to describe without saying it's original, authentic, and a really cool place for a drink.

Would be great location for a date or small group. Kitchen open late. I'm coming back next time I am in town.

The three cup chicken ($20 with tip) was too salty and the vegetables were really watery. Kong Bao chicken from Panda Express would be way better.

The food and drinks were amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. There was even live music when I went. Very unique place, highly recommend.
