Awesome Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry experience. It was a little crowded but Alabama was playing The Badgers the next day and the Colts were in town against the Packers so it was busy everywhere.

We'd heard of Oakcrest for a long time and finally we were in the area to stop in for a late dinner with friends. It was extremely crowded especially for a Thursday night so we sat at the bar to order and eat.
I'm sorry to say we weren't impressed with the food. The burgers were okay, the sweet potato fries were overcooked and tasted burnt actually, and the sandwiches were also just okay. For as busy as it was, we expected better food.
Maybe we were there on an off night for cooking. Plus the service was obly mediocre because we did have to flag a bartender down for a drink refill, to order food, and to get the bill which I dislike especially when a tip is expected. Anywho, probably check this place off the list as tried it, been there, done that and next kind of place. Sorry Oakcrest, not gonna return anytime soon.
