We were visiting Madison and came here accidentally thinking we would find cheese bread. Luckily this was a happy mistake. They make the most gorgeous sourdough. Focaccia with Parmesan topping. It was an absolute treat to eat! We also got a couple of their pastries which were delicious. The brownie, not too sweet with a touch of salt was deeply rich and satisfying. The blueberry muffin had such a unique texture to it and was full of blueberries. When we come back to Madison, we’ll definitely go here again!

This is the bakery. You can also find them at the farmer’s market on the square. The freshest most favorable breads and pastries.

I drive over an hour (one way) to get their bread! They use organic ingredients from local farmers. Simply, it is REAL bread!

I went there by looking so many good reviews and such a high star rating but was very disappointed. I bought a focaccia and pecan croissant. The croissant was very heavy and dense, not flaky at all and costs me $6 and I couldn't even finish it off. The focaccia was close to $12 and was a big disappointment. There were not enough olives, inadequate flavor and not moist enough. It was hard and chewy. My $18 was such a waste.

I drive an hour to Madison for this place alone. In addition to all their pre-made loaves and treats, they have tons of Wisconsin grown and milled flour, sourdough starter that they won't charge you for (bring your own container!), and consistently friendly employees. Can't recommend them enough! Try the Sprye loaf!!
