Ordered the filet and added 3 scallops. Food came, no scallops. “There was a misunderstanding in the kitchen” ate the most mediocre at best filet of my life. Saving grace, the green beans were spot on. Half way through dinner the most undercooked scallops I’ve ever seen came out. I passed on them, as there was zero sear and still jelly on the middle. 10 min after finishing my meal, a new set of scallops arrive. New excuse, “American scallops don’t sear like others” Sad to say the champagne was the highlight of the meal. $300 for the most average meal I’ve had in a long time. I don’t expect to be back, and would advise others to do the same. Such a shame because my wife and I were excited because it was our first time here

Opentable Diner

Parking lot enters into the bar and you walk up one to two stories of stairs to get to the dining floors. Alternatively you can enter through the restaurant entrance at the top of the hill. The staff were courteous and the service was great. The seasonal asparagus soup with fried onions was delicious and the fresh baked bread with butter was also excellent. I had the snow crab cake appetizer which I felt had too many fillers and a little dry. The duck confit tasted great and the green beans were fresh and cooked just right. The duck breast was overcooked a bit for my taste so if you like more of a pink center, make sure you specify up front. Overall a good experience. I can see why it's a neighborhood gem in Middleton.

We had a table for four to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone enjoyed there entree. The wines we chose were great. We have visited Otto's many times over three decades and the food is always superior!

We love Otto! We had all are favorites, Mediterranean platter, lamb chops, basil salad and Napoleon desert. We Miss having lunches there!

We had a very nice dinner with two friends and enjoyed our choices. The serving area is rather small and was packed, and the noise level made it somewhat difficult to converse. In addition, the service was very slow (perhaps due to the restaurant's being short staffed). All in all, we liked our meal.

This was our first time experiencing Otto's and it was a wonderful experience. The crab cakes, sea bass and braised short rib were outstanding. Our server, Brian was top notch and we enjoyed the cozy feel that Otto's offers. We'll absolutely be back!

Too many stairs to climb. Reservation did not inform patron about different levels. Away from the capital area but if you have a car or Uber worth the trip. Brian was a great server.

For starters, we were treated to an excellent show comprised of two of the best bluesmen in the Midwest, Westside Andy & Glenn Davis. The food was amazing and service was prompt and courteous. I’ve been a restauranteur for over 40 years. Otto’s knocked it out of the park. We will most definitely be returning.

Our wait staff did her best. But she had to go up and down two flights of stairs for food and drinks. And she clearly had too many tables to serve to do a good job for anyone. I felt bad for her.

Food and service were very good. My wife and I were put on the third floor. A larger party was also on floor. Unfortunately their noise level in a room with poor acoustics took away from our dining experience. Restaurant was not that crowded, table hostess should have considered this

Perfect night for sitting out side. Not overly hungry so we both had salads, I had scallops, my husband had the salmon. Perfect size proportions. Adam was an excellent server, great humor, he can read his guests very well.
