We booked this restaurant with high expectations based on other reviews. Unfortunately, our service was very slow, the server did not check back to see how our meal was, and at least one person in our party received cold rather than hot sides. People in our group thought the ribs were wonderful and one person enjoyed the sirloin steak. With so many other restaurants to choose from I doubt we will return .

We made our reservation here after a Badgers football game, because all restaurants around the Capitol were booked. We are so glad it worked out this way as our experience here was fantastic. The ambience is great, as they cleverly incorporated the paint theme into the restaurant. Our server was wonderful - thanks Maeve! But of course, food matters most and our dishes were all excellent. The walleye fish fry was cooked to perfection and came with unique and delicious takes on cole slaw and potato au gratin. My wife had the salmon sandwich, which was buttery and flaky. Our only surprise is that they weren't more crowded on a game day. I recommend that Badger fans consider going the extra mile east next time. You won't be disappointed.

We celebrated a birthday here, and it was such a wonderful dinner! Service and atmosphere were top-tier. Drinks were amazing (they even had NA cocktails, which was appreciated as one person in our party couldn’t drink alcohol), and the food was so delicious. We will definitely return!

Very disappointed by the service during our dinner reservation before a concert at Breese Stevens. The bar and servers were clearly overwhelmed and it showed, showing a lack of preparation by management. It took 20 minutes after we were seated to even get waters and acknowledged by our server, who was very apologetic because she wasn't notified that we had been seated; there was no issue with her, but the multiple other servers who passed and didn't ask if we'd been helped yet. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks, a glass of wine and beer so not even a complex cocktail, and our food arrived at the same time. The food was very good, so unfortunately would not recommend for any day where an event is happening.
Was great until another guest arrived to tell us we were sitting at their table at 6:45 even though we had a 2 hour reservation which would have took us until 7:30 for our 5:30 reservation.The server we had was great. After that guest mentioned that to us, the manager came over and checked our status which we were simply waiting for the bill at that moment to pay. Everything was great until we were basically kicked out for a higher class of clientele. That was disappointing. Service, food, drinks were great. Simply too bad we were put in the middle of some kind of reservation conflict to make us feel unwelcome and treated badly at the end.

I'm picky about my steak and this was perfect. A wonderful medium-rare with a sweet and spicy flavor that made me want more while also playing with my brain on the flavors. Excellent.

Our party of 4 were all very happy with their meal selections- fish tacos, grilled salmon, salmon salad and wedge salad with steak! The ambience was good. The volume of the live music could have been toned down a bit until more customers arrived. ( We arrived early to take advantage of Happy Hour specials.) Our waitress, Fernanda (?) was helpful, cheerful and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this venue.
