Sign says open until 2 pm daily. 1245 pm on Sunday and doors are locked and they're clearly closed.

They were a little short staffed like most places right now, but they handled it well. Food was good, kids loved the Mickey pancakes (kids eat free by the way - bonus!), husband had juevos rancheros and enjoyed them. Fries, sausage and crepes were also good. Only thing I was not so thrilled with was the potato pancakes. I wouldn’t get those again but I would go back. Portions are plenty big too!

We had an awesome brunch! Delicious food and the best service in Madison. Additionally it was very comfortable and clean. Will definitely be going back!

This is our go too breakfast spot for both dinning in and take out. Their baked omelettes are great and pancakes nice and fluffy. My wife is a celiac and says their gluten free pancakes are the best she’s had. The server Nate is always friendly and prompt.

We had a wonderful time this morning here for breakfast. The food was wonderful and the service was even better. All of the staff was very friendly and even turned on the Badger basketball game when it started. Highly recommend this restaurant for families. My kids were just as happy as my biyforned and I when we left. We will certainly be going back again!!!

Incredible service, staff very sweet, always making sure we were happy and delicious food!! I am reading some previous reviews and please be aware that when you read them that they are from a few months ago. Pancake Cafe has reopened and is now under new management. Excellent service and food!

Disappointed. We were really looking forward to a great breakfast. Unfortunately, it was anything but that. We waited for about 30 minutes to be sat. The. We waited another 20 minutes before a waitress acknowledged we were there. People who came in after us were waited on and served before us. Staff apologized and we hoped for a good meal. Pancakes were cold. Othered large juices got small s and charged for large. Bacon very over cooked. Disappointed. We will not be back.

Don't let the decor of this restaurant deter you, the service was great and food was excellent! The huevos rancheros has homemade corn tortillas and refried beans and the eggs were cooked to order. Delish!

One of the servers is clearly sick and is constantly sneezing and coughing and during this current public health concern I don't think she should be at work. I've been here before and the food is mediocre at best. Don't think I'll be returning

We ate here on 9/13 (late breakfast arount 11 a.m.) I believe there were only 2 people running the CAFE - the waiter and the cook. The place was hopping, although we had to wait a little bit- the waiter was friendly and the food was excellent - We would come back!

Nice place to enjoy fast and fresh food

They might as well not offer gluten-free at all. No separation they brought my plate out stacked on top of things that were not gf the kid bring the food split syrup on all the food on the plates. We had to ask for more coffee when she brought it over she only filled my husbands and I had to ask for more in mine even though mine was empty sitting next to his, when she poured the coffee she has the spout in the coffee cup getting all everyone’s germs and who knows what else on the coffee spout. Every single one of our orders was wrong and when we sent back they brought it back out on a DIRTY PLATE!! My husbands plate had syrup on it and it was eggs… with a wipe mark of food underneath his eggs.. yuck! Never would we ever go back again!! I have celiac and am so disappointed that they have it listed as “gluten-free” it should have said “gluten-friendly” or anything else because when it says “gluten-free” it she be peeped and made on a separate station. I got so awfully sick after just a few bites. Beware if you have a gluten sensitivity or celiac! Or just beware in general.

I love this place. Friendly staff, yummy food, quick service, all the coffee you can drink, clean, etc. If you're looking for groundbreaking breakfast cuisine where you get a qual egg on Jalapeño corn bread (or whatever the youths are into these days..) this isn't the place for that. But it does a good job with all the classics! Always leave happy and satisfied.

The food tasted great, and while the serving of fries was smaller than expected, the biggest issue was wait time. They only had 2 people to run the entire front of house, so it was 5 minutes to be greeted and seated, 25 minutes to have our order taken, and another 30 for the food to arrive. I'd be happy to come back another time when they are fully staffed since waiting an hour for food with only 5 other tables was longer than we preferred.

Tables took forever to get despite not having many people there, food came before the coffee. Hash browns were Grey and practically inedible. The rest of the food was okay at best.
