I used to eat here in college and it was awesome then and it's awesome now. My only complaint as it is in most non server type restaurants is the tip screen when you pay. It feels like a forced way to get tips. But I guess that's the modern way.

My friend and I enjoyed lunch on the rooftop. We ordered gyros and fountain drinks, and everything was good. The rooftop seating was clean. Good job, Parthenon crew.

Ordered takeout. It took them an hour to make one gyro, put some meat in a container and forget the salad we ordered. When I called asking what the hold up was, I got “we’re getting to it now” and then the line disconnected.

My only complaint is that they don't have another location outside of downtown. Wish I could get some amazing gyros without having to deal with going downtown

This is NOT the Parthenon we grew up with!
Went to college in Madison back in the day and going to the Parthenon was always a treat. We would be met be older gentlemen with thick Greek accents. The gyros were always the best.
The wife and I went there the other day for lunch. What a disappointment! The service was slow and the gyro was horrible. Probably the worst gyro we've ever eaten. The gyro meet and the tzatziki had no flavor. It was like the meat was boiled. The sandwich had a mountain of onions and one little slice of tomato. It was like a boiled ground beef and onion sandwich.
On a positive note, the French fries were excellent, but we didn't go there for the French fries!
