Middleton Pasquals....the nachos, the service, the vibe (.....oh and the Lake Louie) are all fantastic! Couldn't ask for more!
I want to make it clear that I have NOT eaten at the restaurant. I just wanted to note my opinion on their tortilla chips I bought at Pick N Save. I DO like the southwest flavor, however, I find them VERY salty. also, not 100% crispy and fresh. Like the bag seemed to have a bit of a gap and they seemed a tad bit stale. (all the bags looked this way. like they weren't sealed) So I unfortunately will most likely go for another seasoned tortilla chip. I pondered for quite a few minutes as to which one I would buy and was disappointed. :-( I especially was stoked I was buying local. :-/
First if all, this place charges for chips and salsa. Second they charge $5 for a small cup of guacamole. Third, the mole is sickly sweet. It's almost like they used Hershey's chocolate syrup to make it. We were there for 2 hours and not by choice. The service was extremely slow. If you get a traditional margarita, it comes in a pint. If you get a signature one, it's half that size and the same cost. Don't waste your time. Just go to a traditional Mexican restaurant.Only good thing about Pascuals, the tequila choices. A bit over priced for a serving, oh well.
Fish taco tasted weird and off. Hopefully not a career-ender. The refried beans were microwaved, leaving the edges hard and dry. They make you pay for chips and salsa, and they haphazardly sprinkle the chips with Tajin. Service was just okay. They could have been quicker given the lack of people in the place. I won't be going back.
Oh did I have a good time! Big historic building has a store as well as a bar AND an overflow area!!! Our server was upbeat and friendly, aquatinting us with menu items. Food was good and not exorbitantly priced. Went on a humbug- is now in my itinerary on my trips to Madison
I’ve been eating Pasqual’s for over 30 years, when they opened their first location a block away from my childhood home. They’ve maintained a constantly great menu with excellent ingredients that entire time! Amazing. Love their margarita, chips, salsa and burritos! Don’t ever change!
An absolute favorite! Fajita taco and chili cheese dip. Margaritas on TAP!!! Great service and fantastic food. Don't forget to get chips and chili cheese dip to take home!
Definitely had better. Never been to a Mexican restaurant where we had to buy chips and salsa. Not only that but the portion was quite small. The chips were good but salsa wasn’t the best. Guess I was spoiled growing up in Texas. Only reason why it gets two stars because the service was pretty good. My steak burrito had a few pieces of steak and the rest was mashed up pinto beans. Madison’s Mexican food hasn’t been that impressive but there is definitely better places to go than here.
We have loved Pasquels for year the atmosphere and staff are superb. The food and drinks won't disappoint. All the locations are equally managed for a consistent exper.
Awesome drinks and Guac ?, mellow atmosphere.

Pretty good burrito, cant say it was special but was fresh, not frozen. Pleasant atmosphere and wait staff. This would be a reliable Mexican food stop. Give it a try!
I got a fish and a chicken fajita taco, and my wife got some kind of salad I think haha.Everything was really great, high quality, tasty and the service was fast and friendly.Nice atmosphere, highly recommend.
The entrees were so scrumptious, we devoured them on the spot, leaving you with only these two photos. I've been back twice since going about a month ago! The Chile Verde will knock your socks off and that's even before you dip the blue corn bread muffin that comes with it. If you really want to complete your experience, get the street corn -- it’s off the cob with all the cream and spices mixed in! Amazing ?!
They were OK. You have to work to get their attention. I came on a slow Saturday afternoon too.
Excellent food, always good. My only issue is I can't believe you charge for chips. Don't think I've ever seen that in a Mexican restaurant. It's cheaper to buy your chips in the grocery store than in the restaurant.
