This American tex-mex restaurant has incredible chips (as in the best I've ever had) but everything else simply meets expectations. I purchased the nachos once in light of how great the chips are but the 3mm of grease at the bottom of my plate was quite off putting. My recommendation: buy there chips in a local Madison Grocery store, and forgo the restaurant experience.

There was lots of excitement regarding coming here to eat; except it was Pasquale in East Washington Ave.however, Hilldale is super uppidy and makes anyone feel out of place. We ended up giving this Pasquale a try, I must say I was a bit disappointed.You have to pay for chips and cheese, it’s not in the house. For nachos, it is an up charge of 5.95. They gave us 1 paper menu per table. Our waiter came to our table 3 tables for the 1.5 we were there.. the chips had a weird seasoning on them. The soda was flat. It was just not what we originally thought it was going to be.

I cannot stress enough how hit or miss Pasquale's can be. Their blue corn pancakes? Huge hit. The spiciness of their salsa? Miss. Their nachos? Hit. Their mole sauce? Huge, huge, huge miss.Honestly, I've never had mole before, but I know it shouldn't taste like Hershey's poured onto pork enchiladas. It ruined and otherwise fine meal.Get what you know, and you'll be fine.

Wow - what a letdown for an end-of the workweek dinner. Tasteless shredded chicken, overcooked rice and beans, next to no toppings other than too much cilantro and lettuce. Cheese? Sour cream? Practically non-existent. And what's up with the price - $2 higher on my phone than on the laptop? Sorry Pasqual's - you've fallen a long way since the Monroe St. days.

Service took a long time. The waitress stood behind a wall to take our order. Had to ask for refills. Too expensive for the quality of food and lack of customer service. Will not be going again. You can have our seats.

The food is overly salty , could not finish my meal. $50 for a party of 3 and none of us ate more then a quarter of the food. Don’t waste your money here.

If heart disease runs in your family do not eat here!!! Everything from the chips and salsa to the enchiladas and the rice and beans were so salty it was hardly edible! I couldn’t eat anything on my plate. Absolutely foul!!!

I've had Pasqual's catering before, it was pretty decent. But when I went there the first time to eat at the restaurant, the food was below average.The chips and salsa were decent. However, I had gotten a burrito and it was pretty bad. The tortilla that it was wrapped in was dry and floury. The meat and fillings were not very flavorful. The burrito was grilled with the lettuce inside, making it slimy and gross.Stick to the tacos if you go. Otherwise I highly suggest supporting a smaller, local Mexican restaurant. You'll get more authentic, tastier food for far less.
First thing to know is there are no free chips and salsa. The food was okay, definitely not authentic Mexican dishes. In addition I am 99% sure I got food poisoning the next day from the pork which was less than great. But, giving 2 starts because of the good service and good margaritas.

I normally LOVE Pasquals, but you guys honestly fell down tonight. Placed a curbside order (long wait, but they are busy and it's Friday night--no biggie, we get it!), and called when we pulled in, giving the curbside space number. Proceeded to wait 15 minutes past my promised "ready" time.... no food. Went inside to collect my curbside order, and it's sitting behind the bar, not under a warmer, getting cold. Took it to the car to eat, and it's just plain cold. I would understand if I had been told when calling from my curbside space, "hey come inside if you don't mind, you'll get your food faster!" But this was not communicated. I try to be pretty fair, hence the 3 stars for this experience. Pretty much any other time, good service great food. But I'm not enthused about paying for food that isn't even warm because you can't get it outside as promised in reasonable time frame or communicate that I need to come in and pick it up instead. Kinda blew up the experience I drove from 40 minutes away to get :(
