My husband and I have been going to the Jet Room for many years; we have always enjoyed the good food and great service, all in a great location. Our last visit was a huge disappointment.

On our last visit the staff was extremely busy (from our vantage point it looked like there were more cooks than servers). Staff was so busy that the food was piling up under the warming lights until there was no more room. A portion of our order sat under the warming lights for over 10 minutes; there was not enough room under the lights for our has browns, so by the time we received them they were cold. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict had solidified because it sat so long.

Meanwhile, we watched wait staff continue to seat new customers, take their beverage orders, and cater to their every need.

In my opinion this indicates a lack of good management. Customers should not have to sit and watch their food dry out under warming lights while new customers are seated. We even mentioned to our server that our order had been up for over 10 minutes; his response was “he just got buzzed.” Yet it took him another 10 minutes to bring it to our table.

Madison has a lot of great restaurants where excellent food is served hot and timely. I will be giving my business to one of these other restaurants in the future, and not returning to the Jet Room.

I’m a pilot and I had to do a quick to go order in this restaurant to catch my flight. We have to submit receipts per company policy and unfortunately I lost mine. So far nothing from service or food in this restaurant was bad. Understanding that it was my fault to lose the receipt I called the restaurant and the owner answered me. When I explained the situation and sincerely asked for 5 minutes of his time to look up the receipt he said if you have the check number it’s instant and if not he can’t spend anymore time with me. He said his time is more valuable than helping me and he’s trying to go and he will not keep being polite if I don’t end the call … ? I visit FBO and restaurants more than I vis my home and never seen anyone treating a customer this way

I ordered perch fillet meal and French toast for delivery. The lady over the phone did not ask me what kind of eggs I wanted and the food was gross and dry.

We will not be coming back. We tried calling ahead multiple times throughout the morning and continued to get voicemail. Finally we just decided to come and see what wait was. We agree to “an about a 30 minute wait”, and ending up waiting 60 minutes for a table for two adults. Extremely disappointed in the service, call-ahead ability, and communication. Do not recommend in any capacity - I can only imagine what this experience would have been like with a child.

Waitress seemed really against having my kids anywhere near the window. Shame since they're pretty much half the restaurant. Had an indent of her acrylic nail in my pancake which was also just really flaky. Noticed only male staff wear gloves here. Some sort of weird agenda. The furniture had the most personality out of anyone here.

@ Nick, this review is for you.
I’m sure you never read low reviews because you have the emotional intelligence of a goldfish and probably have no drive to better yourself but I hope you see this one. I’m unsure what your problem is but being a bully to customers is not the way to keep a thriving business. It’s really unfortunate that you have the location you do because it’s likely the only reason you have customers. I think it would be good if you took a vacation or maybe thought about a different career opportunities because the way you’re conducting yourself is not appropriate, nor is it professional. Please get help for your horrible attitude and think about the way you treat others. I hope I never see you again.

Horrible experience. Definitely NOT family friendly…Manager seems to be power hungry for turning away a family that made a reservation. Highly recommend going anywhere else.
