Prost is a truly wonderful German bar and restaurant. The food is consistently great with a menu featuring German and Wisconsin classics along with some occasional specials. Along with the always exceptional service, the location in an old church with beautiful stained glass windows and painted details can’t be beat. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding and everyone raved about the food and atmosphere.

Great place to meet friends for cards/cribbage. Great cheese curds and pretzel. Sausage board is great, love the presentation. Waiter was helpful explaining the different German beers and gave us samples. Highly recommend! Potato pancakes are really more like hashbrowns, not my grandmas potato pancakes.

The service was great, but the food was not as good, we got the sausage board, which was not good sausage and then the sides where pickles, but there was no tasted pickles. They all tasted like water. And this place is super loud like we could not hear what each of us said. Their huge pretzel is a famous one which was just a pretzel. The small sausage board that they say is enough for six people is not enough for six people.

So good! I've been sleeping on mustard all my life. Their in house mustard with the giant pretzel is amazing. I wish they sold the mustard. I miss it already.

Great food! Went here a few weeks ago while visiting my son at UW. Such a beautiful place. I was enthralled with the cathedral windows and loved the atmosphere. Oh the food! I had a German stew and it was delicious, tasted just like my grandmother's. I will be going back!

Good atmosphere, but wrong beer was served and argued that it was correct. The sauerbraten was pulled pork and when I asked about it the server just shrugged it off.

The setting is quaint with a gorgeous building. The service was fantastic. The food was very good. Had a solid german menu and a fantastic beer selection. The pretzel was excellent. We got a half pretzel and it is honestly big enough for 4 people as an appetizer. The worst small plate wasnt small at all. Highly recommended. If you like beer or German food it's a great place to try out.
