My boyfriend & I, we have been passing Ramen Station for about 5 years on our commute to work. Today we decided to try it before our badger game. He got a Miso Ramen & I got one of their spicy sesame ramens, along with the spring rolls. The spring rolls were AMAZING! However, our ramen had NO flavor. We kept saying to one another, is this just cloudy water? Green onion, corn, fish cakes, bean sprouts were as plain as could be. I asked for a bit more spice & added a lot into the ramen and nothing helped enhance the flavor. We hardly ended up touching our ramen and packed it up to take home to try and fix. We are so dissapointed that there was no flavor to our meal. We were so excited especially because the spring rolls were fresh, crispy and so flavorful. We are unsure if this was an off day, but a 49¢ top ramen is way better than what we had.

I have to take back my past review as below. It was terrible tonight. No depth in the soup. Noodles too thin, too. Soup so thin that noodles don't capture the soup and flavor. Chashu was thin and flavorless. Champon was not the champon as it is supposed to be. Gyoza was saggy and tasteless. No positive impression from service - you don't feel welcomed. I don't know what happened; I'm so disappointed - did the owner change? Do they have multiple cooks? Overall, it has become one of those low-quality ramen shops typical of Madison - where can I find a reasonable ramen in this town??? I will give one more try before making a final judgement.
For the first time, after visiting a handful of ramen restos, I finally found an authentic ramen in Madison. Takoyaki must be homemade! I feel I can live in this town, finally!

Delicious food and great service.
I order from this place almost every week.
I recommend the Hibachi, Ramen, and Gyoza, but really it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.

The only thing I could ask for is the option for Hiroshima style okonomiyaki.
Full marks for food quality, though; My favorite place for a reasonably quick Japanese meal!

I've been going here whenever I'm in Madison for the last couple years and I've loved it every time! The staff is great and the place is super nice. The food is absolutely amazing, I've gone to madison just for this place thats how much I love it. I read the other reviews and I've never smelled anything bad, the place usually just smells like the amazing food they serve there. It's very cool I love the interior design, the walls and the seats are fun to look at. Overall this place is great and I cant wait to go back soon.

We went to Ramen Station when they were opening. Upon entering, we noticed there were 3 people sitting at the ramen bar, eating. The server took forever to lake our order and we noticed no one was in the kitchen once the two tables in the restaurant had ordered. It dawned on us that the 3 people sitting and eating at the bar, were the cooks. Joyfully finishing their meal, while tables were sitting there waiting for their food. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they finally got up to make our food. The food wasn’t worth the wait, very mediocre at best. Also at the end of the meal I ended up looking in my glass to find this weird white stuff floating in the bottom of it. Go somewhere else!

I was so excited to come here after driving by it for years. Unfortunately it was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The second my boyfriend and I walked in we were hit by the smell of raw sewage. Despite that we made the mistake of still sitting down and ordering. We both ordered different types of ramen, tonkatsu and miso, and both of them smelled and tasted extremely fishy. We both ate our noodles but couldn't stomach to eat anything else in it. Especially while smelling fish and raw sewage the entire time. Super disappointing. Do not come here if you can't handle that.

Food & tea is very hot, and tasty.
Came out really quickly. Went during construction, so unfortunately you can hear all of that next door.

Not what I was expecting. That was a bad idea. Sorry but parts of the restaurant smells pretty bad. Table was dirty that I was sat at had to ask waiter to wipe it first. Parking is not a whole lot here. No handicap parking folks sorry. The food was hot but not good. Menu dirty and old. Need to put some ac in there as well. Please show more attention to the customer. Saw a table of 4 get refills but I did not get any refills as I did not want to cause a scene I paid the bill and left.
