We had a fantastic experience using our city tin at Rare Steakhouse last night!
We had a reservation and were promptly seated. The restaurant is much larger than I had thought! Very full for a Friday night and delicious food all around. Our server was fantastic, thorough and detailed in her descriptions, no rushing us through the dishes and very accommodating. We have an onion allergy to accommodate and all was made fresh to order and onions easily avoided. Usually we can’t order most sides but everything on the menu was available to us.
We aren’t big red meat eaters but the steak was delicious. We shared it along with potatoes and brussel sprouts. It was perfect, delicious, steak so tender we could cut it with a fork, just the right amount to share and lots of rolls with honey butter.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Rare. The service was exceptional. Our server, Ricky, was great, very knowledgeable and took fantastic care of us. The food was outstanding and presented beautifully. Treat yourself to the bananas foster, you won't regret it!!

Oh, did I mention that I was talking about the Rare Steakhouse Happy Hour? I’d love to try the regular menu gratis or on an expense account. Hope springs eternal

Amazing experience. We had reservations for a Saturday night at 6. We each ordered drinks i had a stella and she had specialty mixer which she said was fantastic. We did not get an appetizer though they all looked good. I had a new york strip and she got filet mignon with sautéed scallops along with asparagus and green beans. I'm not great with wine or really care for it but our server paired such a fantastic wine to go with our meal. It was delicous!!! It was loud inside but we could still talk and hear each other. There were kids there but all well behaved. I wish I hadn't tossed the receipt so I could give a shout out to our server, best service I've ever had, and best steak. We'll be back!!

We were seated in a quiet room. The cocktails were well made and tasty. We splits shrimp cocktail and a wedge salad, both well prepared. The onion soup was delicious and just what we needed on a frigid night. Our server Ashley was terrific: friendly, attentive, and never rushed us. We had steaks which were made to order and flavorful. Have been here before, first time was amazing, this time..just meh. 2 out of the 6 oysters were bad. Purchased tomahawk steak for over 200$ and was severely underwhelmed with quality, so much gristle and fat to cut through with a rounded end dull knife was not fun. To top off the night after spending over 700$ on a dinner for 4, the waitress decides to chastise my wife for ordering a grasshopper dessert for it was not listed on desert menu and that it was an issue to make....REALLY?? my god its ice cream and green liquor...mad at myself for leaving 17% tip. I also think that you should honor happy hour deals at table side, so stupid you "HAVE" to sit in bar area...just dumb
Second time to visit within a month. Again, like last time, the service was amazing and the ambiance was wonderful, intimate and quiet. Perfection. My steak had to be sent back to be fully cooked. This problem happened last time too. While they were very apologetic and resolved the issue with a refire of the meat (steak) I find it VERY challenging to be a top notch steak house and not know how to reliably cook the selected meat to a consistent and accurate temp. Like I said they corrected the situation and the flavor was fine, it is just the disappointment and now the realization it is NOT a one off situation.
