I got this DoorDashed. I never had Taiyaki so I was excited. The Nutella Taiyaiki was very good. The Salmon in the poke was great too.
Ordering QR codes were broken. The tteokboki was phenomenal. Crab Rangon takoyaki was a choice. Teas were tea. Fee for games.
Love ❤️ this place. The food is good the games rock.
Fun place to go to for board games!
I can’t begin to express how phenomenal this restaurant is. They have, hands-down, some of the best food in Madison. The Singaporean Chicken rice is our constant favorite - get dark meat, a soy egg, and extra spicy sauce and you will not be disappointed.
I’ve loved this spot since it was over on State Street and it is even cuter now in the Garver Feed Mill.
Do yourself a favor and go play games and feast on great food with friends at Roll Play!
It’s fine but very slow. It should not take 21 minutes to make bubble tea. I was told it was a 10 min wait to make the boba (fine, but weird given they’d already been open for half an hour) but it also took 20 minutes to make the strawberry slushie without boba. It wasn’t particularly busy, I was the first person there though they did serve others who came after me. Not worth the wait.
Great concept, great hand rolls, solid selection of games, and great execution. Recommended!
Cute place, good foods, good vibe.
We went on a crowded day with kids. It was hectic to say the least. My children enjoy Korean/Asian food so they loved it. Played connect 4 and they couldn’t tell their bellies were hungry. Overall it’s clean and well maintained. Customer service seemed to be rushed and food came slowly.
My friends and I have been to RollPlay many times in the past, it is a favorite spot for us to hang out. The food is always delicious and the board game selection is large; however, tonight I experienced one of the kindest gestures from a restaurant ever. I usually order their Singaporean Chicken (very good btw) but I decided to switch it up and go for the Taiwanese pork bowl. Unfortunately it wasn’t for me, and it was 100% a personal taste thing. I don’t like fennel or anise and I can’t stomach it. The dish contained one of the two or something similar. I didn’t want to cause any trouble because again this is fully on me and I am a firm believer that it is not the restaurant’s responsibility if I don’t like the taste of something I picked. After seeing if anyone wanted to take it home or eat it, I decided to just place it in the bus bin. The Server/ Host that was on duty + the manager noticed my food in the bus bin. He came up to our table to make sure everything was alright. I told him it wasn’t for me but that it was okay and he immediately asked me if they could get me the Singaporean chicken instead. It’s also about 10 minutes to close and he was very kindly insisting, I was so so appreciative. They offered me the whole Singaporean meal last minute and was extremely nice. I cannot thank them enough and I was beyond touched. I wish I handed it to him directly but we left extra cash in the tip jar as a thank you. This was 09/15/24 so if the employee who very kindly helped us we thank you greatly and you made our night!

Was told food would take 20 mins, it took 35. Portion was small and not worth the +$8. Atmosphere was loud, with no acoustic dampening the brick walls really make volume loud for playing games. Noticed some food code violations with the server, doesn't seem like any manager is present. Probably wouldn't come back, especially not for food/beverage.

Second time I have gone and told they ran out of rice! Kinda big deal as several dishes sort of need rice, like come on. Be prepared to wait a long long time and then eat mediocre food. Nice spot for board games, but come on a full stomach here and order a boba…you might have to wait 30 minutes for it though.
