I went out for dinner tonight, and had the spicy tandoori shrimp masala (with rice) and garlic naan, as well as rasmalai for dessert. The food, service, and atmosphere did not disappoint one bit. Sure, the food may take some time, but it's definitely worth the wait. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, then you will not be disappointed, since this place has something for everybody, regardless of protein type and how spicy you want your food.

I will die on this hill: Royal Indian Cuisine is the best Indian food there is. No one else makes their food quite like them. I will travel however far to eat here because it is so comforting. I highly recommend getting the Chef Special naan, and you can't go wrong with the garlic naan. It does lean more tomatoey for some of their dishes compared to other places, but that's what makes their butter chicken so special. I come here with my friends, family, and for special events. Even the curry in Hong Kong cannot beat Royal Indian Cuisine. Y'all have my heart and soul for this place, and it will forever be my favorite restaurant. Thanks for all that you do! :)

Excellent food. Spiceness options were appreciated. Naan worth ordering for great sauce dipping. The vegetarian dumplings were so great! The lamb super tender and tasty! Salt lassie also wonderful

Most horrible experience we had . My wife choked on the samosa. She went out to feel better and then the owner asked us to leave since my wife was unwell and she has children in restaurant. First of all my wife was not sick before visiting this restaurant she felt choked up after eating samosa. Samosa was hard and really bad. We packed the food and threw it in garbage outside. Place has a bad vibe and host is bad. Worst dining experience ever

We love Royal Indian! Whether we get takeout or dine in all the food I've tried has been reliably delishish. The family who runs the restauraunt is wonderful and provides great service as well. Highly reccomend!

The food is more authentic than most competing restaurants, most have westernized their flavors. The flavors here really pop and each dish was handmade. Even the samosa wraps were made there rather than the store bought wraps many places use. It tasted just like home made.

The appetizers I selected--muligatawny soup and pakora--were great. And the main dish--lamb korma--was easily the best I've ever had. The sauce was flavorful yet subtle. The rice was of similarly high quality. There were five of us who gathered for dinner, and the verdict was unanimous: this is the best Indian restaurant in Madison right now.

My first time coming here and the food was amazing. Atmosphere is great as well. I’m from Rockford Illinois. Had to come back here again before traveling back home.

Whenever we come to pick up our order, we wait 10 minutes for someone to come and take care of us. Even if our order is ready, it is not good to be kept waiting. Because the customer is waiting for his food. The communication is very weak, the welcome is very bad. In particular, it takes almost 20 to 30 minutes to receive orders from über DoorDash customers. Those who order from Uber and DoorDash, please consider these when giving order.

Amazing service from the staff for our big group. Were timely, kept up on water refills (which is near impossible for our thirsty gang!) and food was DELICIOUS. Enough of it for 3 meals from one entree.
