Terrible dine in experience! Average food. They don't honor, what they offer or promise. No coordination between manager and owner. Owner who seems to be chef have no basic courtesy and professionalism. I would give zero star, if there is option to do that. I would not recommend anyone to go in this restaurant. Bunch of liars!

Food/Taste/ - Goat Biryani at spicy level. The spice level is no joke! My SO loved the food as it was well seasoned and flavorful rather than just spicy. The goat meat was tender and while there were bone pieces, they mostly came off the bone no problem.

Excellent food. We had the butter chicken, goan shrimp curry, and garlic naan. Everything was wonderful and big enough portions to take some home as well. Would highly recommend.

Easily the best Indian place out of all of the local ones. More prominent spices/flavor than anywhere else I've tried. Ordered delivery and everything was very well packaged, and I was actually shocked at how generous the portion size is compared to many other places. The only thing I could even sort of complain about is that I would have liked mine a touch spicier. Easily a 5 star spot that I will absolutely be ordering from again. (Ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Samosa Chat, Chicken Biryani, Onion Kucha).

If you like sweet and salty combinations try dipping the sweet peshwari naan into your spicy curry. It’s fabulous! The sweet naan is hard to find. I’m so glad they have it at Royal. Thank you!

Being Indian, I come here for my Indian food when I didn't want to cook. Matar paneer, malai kafta, and butter chicken! Make sure to get it extra spicy.

Had a great meal at Royal. Enjoyed excellent butter chicken and chef special biryani. Food was flavorful and portions were generous. They have an extensive selection of naan and several Indian beers at a modest price. We will be back.

My adult sons and I had a delicious dinner there tonight. The portions were large and the service was quick and friendly. They have a huge naan selection; we tried 3 different ones and they were all tasty. We ordered our dishes medium spice which had a nice kick (but not overly so). Definitely will return here when we visit Madison again.

Friendly and not busy off-peak. Biryani was average, with many quality ingredients present but lacking a sense of unity in spice and flavor. Will have to return to try something else perhaps.
