Great pizza! I got the woodsman and I wasn't disappointed. The prices I thought were a little high but it was quality so it's not bad.

Great pizza! Horrible hostess staff. We showed up 10 minutes early with reservations for 4. A group of 4 showed up just before us with no reservations and were told it would be 20 minutes for a table. Once we checked in we were told our table was not ready yet so we said that we would wait at the bar. While waiting, we watched the party of 4, with no reservations, get seated at the time for which we had our reservations. We also watched another party get seated while we waited at the bar, now 15 minutes past our reservation time. While at the bar, later identified as the manager, checked on us for a refill of drinks. We told him we had closed our tab while waiting for our table, with reservations 15 minutes prior. Once this was noted, he immediately got us to a table right next to the people with no reservations while the hostess stared at her tablet at the desk, as she had done since we arrived. After being seated with were waited on by a waitress and a trainee and the food and service was great, as usual. Unfortunately the person at the door failed miserably to perform her job properly. Horrible first impression for the business.

Good pizza isn't as easy to find as it should be. Fortunately, in Madison we've got Sal's. They've got delicious and creative pies that are sure to satisfy that "pizza and beer" urge that comes on every now and then. I shall return!

Great food and Great staff. One of the few places I go that everyone behind the counter is always friendly and competent. Highly recommend. We always get sausage, mushroom and goat cheese. Perfect every time.

I'll try not to use the P word (P*zza) With a wealth of "tomato pies" under my belt, from both Chicago and New York, I can honestly say this was one of the best I've ever had. The crust was super fresh, crunchy, the veggie sausage and green pepper was divine. Mesculun salad was perfectly under-dressed with a very light house dressing. Touring the college nearby, we were so pleasantly surprised to bump into Salvatore's and will definitely be back.

Good food but service was lacking. Bar was slow with two bartenders and we had to ask for food and drinks. Bartender acted like it was a huge inconvenience when I asked to sub potatoes for extra vegetables, said he’d have to check with him he kitchen. Disappointing first experience and would not return because of the service but the food was good.

This was last year's 2021 restaurant week menu and everything was delicious. I had the (carnitas )chicken enchilada soup I ask for chicken instead because I don't eat pork and they accommodate my request for chicken and it was the best soup, the tandoori salmon was very yummy my daughter had one of there specialty pizzas and she loved it. The apple pie crumble was everything delicious
Really high quality but can be difficult to get in at times. Fig and bacon pizza was excellent. One gripe is that they have resy listed in Google but it doesn't appear to currently actually accept reservations.

The pizza is delicious and staff is very nice. We were in Madison from out of town and will definitely make Salvatore's a priority when we come back! I love that there are vegetarian and vegan options!

I probably haven't had all the pizza in Madison. But what I have had has been OK until I went to Salvatore's as it's so close to my home. Wow was I am amazed how great the pizza was. I don't really have to check out any place else because I'm satisfied with their thin crust and the way they prepare that pie. I'm sure if I was invited to go to another place for pizza I would go but I'd be thinking about Salvatore's all the way.

I love the decorations and vibe of this place. They also have excellent water. 10/10 would recommend this absolutely exquisite water. And when I say exquisite I mean it. I sat down and was served a mere glass of water. I didn’t think much till I took a sip and my mouth exploded. It was pure bliss. I was practically ascending to the heavens with each sip. I have NEVER in my life had such great water. Plus the food is absolutely lovely.
