We had a fantastic dinner here. The space was so well cared for and filled with super friendly staff. We felt truly taken care of. The food was obviously also amazing. I'm a sucker for a bread basket and this one does not disappoint. All the seafood looked amazing but I just had to try the burger. No regrets.

We had a delicious meal here and we enjoyed sitting on the patio on a beautiful summer night. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed a refreshing drink of ginger, grapefruit and lemon juice and honey. The hostess was quick to get us a table when we arrived 15 minutes ahead of our reservation. If we lived in Madison, we would regularly dine here.

We had set up reservations and they were ready for us on arrival. We asked about the outside dining option and were brought to a wonderful spot with a beautiful view of the lake at sunset.
Great treatment from check-in to check-out. The food was great! My wine was spot on for each course too. We learned the menu changes for the season and regularly. So we were impressed to know the next experience will be similar with completely new options to savor!
Our table conversations led us to thinking of how if we lived closer, we’d be here at least monthly. But, now that we’ve found Sardine, we’ll be here whenever we are in Madison again!

Lovely place for excellent dining. A bit loud and tightly seated but worth the opportunity to taste well crafted dishes with locally produced ingredients you may not have tried before like the specialty vegetable cucamelon and their namesake, a sardine dish. We (including 2 moderately adventurous older children) shared 5 dishes at our table and enjoyed them all.
Vegetarian options: The beet salad was excellent, even enjoyed by those among our group who aren't usually fans of beets or goat milk cheeses. Vegetables are treated with care and respect by the chef, bringing out their best flavors.
Parking: Labeled parking lot available on the lake side of the building.

Place is great, service was meh and food was ok. We booked on the basis that told us they could “customize” as we had a vegan in our group. The vegan customization was a bowl of cooked pasta with a few chopped tomatoes on. The service was poor, the server couldn’t have been less interested, kinda felt like she was doing us a favor. Didn’t enjoy this time, been plenty times before and it’s been fine, this was a bad experience. Will look for other options before coming back.
