I do a lot of traveling. I live in Texas. And Mexican food is my favorite. I have had great meals from all over the USA but I have to say that Senor Machetes is one of the best meals that I have ever had. I got the group beef 22 inch Machete. With fresh sour cream, fresh pickled onions, Street corn and amazing homemade tortilla. The owner talked with us and gave a brief history story behind the 5 years he has been here. I highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near Madison Wisconsin.

This place is absolutely amazing. The drinks are delicious and the food is nearly better than the authentic Mexican cooking I've had in Mexico. This place is also run by some of the most decent and lovely people I have ever met. Chef Noel knocks it out of the park every single time!

Food is so tasty, the space feels so homey, and the service is actually unbelievable. When we had to rush out to meet friends (and couldn’t take food togo since we were walking), our server asked if we didn’t like anything and insisted that we shouldn’t pay for anything we didn’t like. Of course the food was delicious, but this gesture is so considerate. Best mexican spot anywhere near the square, couldn’t recommend enough ?
