We tried out this place and this specific location for the first time on Friday (6/11/25) and we absolutely enjoyed it! The food was so delicious and fresh. Burgers juice and cooked exactly how we like them (medium-ish) the shakes were thick and amazing (we had the banana pudding , oreo funnel cake, and chocolate) . Although i prefer spears, i still got the pickle chips and was happy they were breaded well and not super greasy. Fries were good but i would have to say as a chesse fries fanatic i wasn't super impressed with the brand of cheese sauce you use personally i cant quite put my finger on it, but its just kind of bleh if that makes sense
It was still enjoyable though! The staff was full of smiles and warm greetings and service. Very cool atmosphere too! It was raining hard so we didnt get a chance to enjoy the cute patio vibes, but the inside was still very cool! Overall just want to say thank you! I've been in the food industry most of my life and it is always so nice to find a good place especially for someone with a kid that's favorite food is burger and fries lol! We will be back and hopefully get to wnjoy the outside seating too!

The last time I was in Madison, I went here based on a recommendation. It was great food, and decently priced for Madison, and it wasn't too packed with hipsters to be annoying. Definitely recommend.

I’ve only eaten here once. The food was ok, but why is it always so dirty inside? Get a manager who will keep it clean and I’ll eat there again.

Very good but on the more expensive side. A nice option when you don't want to drive all the way to Culver's or eat McDonalds for a quicker burger option in the area. Pickup/takeout packaging is open face like you are eating in, which can result in the food getting cold quickly (particularly the fries). If they wrapped the burger and put the fries in a bag to better control the temperature of the food for those orders, it would be even better.

It was hard to find a parking spot. This was my first visit to the shake shack. I had the burger with onion tanglers, bacon, barbecue sauce and pickles. It was absolutely delicious! Juicy, flavorful, hit the spot!
