So delicious!!! I got the combo for two, lots of apps, and of course baklava for dessert- great way to try a lot of things! I will be craving the pumpkin mantu until I can get back there again. And the chicken wings were to die for! Perfect charCan’t wait to get back and eat there again

Try Silk Road on Park Street!! It's a new restaurant and it is FABULOUS! We had the roast lamb - so tender - Khomshurbo soup, and khunefe for dessert. Delicious, reasonably priced, great menu! Waiter was very attentive, and the Owner/chef came by to check on us and make sure we were happy. The table next to us had kebabs with something flambéed, I don't know what, but it looked delicious and I'm having it next time!

Despite coming in near closing, they still offered to make a meal for us. Everyone there was incredibly kind. When we were waiting for our uber outside, the cashier even asked us if we wanted a ride. To top it all off, the food was incredible.

We finally made it, for take out any way. The beef kebab is fantastic. The meat was 10/10 but so was the rice. This rice is not just some dish; it’s so good! The restaurant was fairly busy tonight. Everything was fantastic and the staff are so nice and welcoming. For sure will be back, I can’t wait to try some other

This was our first time at a Central Asian (Afghan). We started with Mercimek Corbasi soup and Peach Bruschetta. The soup had a hint of spice like butternut squash soup. The Bruschetta was a wonderful combination of cheese, peach slices and crispy bread. The Pear Salad had grilled chicken with the greens; we had never seen pears cut up in this fashion nor in a salad for that matter, but it made it very easy and yummy to eat. The Roasted Lamb was well cooked-not overdone-over a bed of rice. The flaming bowl is NOT edible but a fancy touch none-the-less. The veggies were slivers of purple onion, tomato and cucumber. This was MARVELOUS! For dessert, we shared an order of Baklava rich and sweet and sticky! The husband and wife host/owners were very attentive and couldn't do enough to introduce their food--treated like being in their home. We will go back and you should, too.

Delicious Halal food in an unpretentious space. We had the grilled peach salad, beet salad, beef kebab and baklava. Also got the hot tea with ginger, mint and honey. The hummus is great, the service is kind and competent and the food is aromatic, fresh and healthy. Will return soon.

The food was amazing and the water too. We’re not sure if we were charged for the water but regardless the food was incredible!!

Was ultimately fantastic and delicious but costly for the experience and food. It's not outrageous but not something to frequent.

Silk Road was absolutely amazing! My husband and I went for a casual date night and it was some of the best food we've tasted in Madison. Fast service, less expensive than I would anticipate for the quality of dishes, the peach bruschetta in particular was to die for! We will absolutely be back!

At the Silk Road, We tried the lamb dish with cashew rice, and also a generous rice and beef dish; of afghani aromatic rice with carrots, raisins and pomegranate arils. Both kinds of rice were excellent, and the lamb was incredibly delicious. The beef, ( Kabuli Palov) which was delicately spiced, came with a salad of fresh cheese, cucumber, and tomato, all beautifully presented. Service was great, and i would eat here again for the lovely flavors. Something different and interesting from Central Asia. It is wonderful to have something delectable and exotic in Madison.

Delicious food and charming service. I highly recommend the peach bruschetta and lamb special. The lamb was tender and melted in my mouth. I can't wait to return to try the chicken kabobs.
