The hot pot is delicious. Service was fast for lunch. They have American Chinese and Traditional Chinese on the menu, and it's all legit. If you want to be adventurous or safe this place is great.

The worst restaurant. They have 3 different menus, which make the customers confused. I ordered beef noodle soup, which is number 31 on one menu, but they brought me different meal. It turned out that number 31 corresponds to another meal. Also, the restrooms are the worst, and toothpicks and napkins are not provided on each table.

A lousy service along with lousy food. Three of our party got the wrong dish(problem was there were three different menu plates and they got confused) and when we asked them to give our original dishes they refused and told us to order and pay again if we wanted to get the dishes right. Also, the food was so greasy I got a stomachache after eating.

Lots of tasty food for a reasonable price. They were a bit understaffed considering the amount of people that went there so we had to wait a while for the check. It's a bit chilly by the window in the winter so you're aware.

CAUTION!!!! Numbers on the leather menu table and paper one are different!! me and my friends had a terrable experence because of it. Wrong dish came out and the worse thing was that the server didn't do anything. Also, several dishes were excluded from our order. With these uncomfortable situations, there were no measures. Worst restoraunt ever seen. Don't come here.

I used to come here for their chicken stew (tasty at first but gradually lost its quality) and had an extremely unpleasant experience which made me never come again: They brought the wrong order and we tried to negotiate with there manager. We called her almost 8 times but she never came, even though she was just standing there doing nothing!! WT*??? When we looked at our check, I found her put the new item (wrong orders) and kept the items of original order even though we didn't get one of our original dishes. I argued with her and she said she was too busy to come, LIER! Just never come here, worst place I've ever been to in Madison.

I was pleasantly surprised here. They have the "Americanized" menu that I expected to see, based on the outdoor advertising, but then there is a whole other menu with more Traditional style items. Makes for a lot of choices that will keep me coming back to try.All I have been craving lately is General Tso's tofu, and this was the best I have had in Madison so far. They have milk teas which made me happy. The portions are huge. My step dad had a big beautiful bowl of Udon soup, and my mom had Shrimp Lo Mein with very nice looking shrimp.I can't complain about the service, because our waitress was serving that whole restraunt by herself which was fairly busy because of the Cross Fit games, and doing it in a pretty timely fashion considering. She was also very sweet. I've been in the service industry for a long while and I give kudos to wait staff working their buns off like that.Last but not least, free dessert bar in the back full of little snacky things to grab before you leave. ☺

This place has two very different menus (as in - separated physically and in terms of quality), and your choice of menu probably matters more than your choice of dish. The short, two sided menu of Americanized dishes is, aside from being short and Americanized, also not particularly well done - if you only want sesame chicken or shrimp lo mein there is better elsewhere (we ordered both).The longer, more authentic dish list, however, was wonderful. We'll be back to explore other dishes, but this will probably by my go-to for any dry pot cravings.

First the positive notes. It was a Saturday night and we were able to get a table with no wait. Service was initially very prompt and our food was delivered very quickly. Soup was quickly followed by our appetizer and almost immediately by our entrees. Everyone agreed their soups were good and the steamed dumplings were good. Both noodle entrees we ordered were seriously lacking in flavor. The fried rice served with the chicken entrees were likewise bland. The general's chicken and orange chicken were good. Unfortunately, once the food was delivered we were largely ignored. If we wanted anything we had to track down a server.

Other than that, the food was great (even though the meet came in frozen rolls). Service was way better than the reviews made me anticipate. Mostly male Chinese students at the other booths and tables. The one menu I got clearly indicated the page with American Chinese food. Would come again.

I did enjoy the food here! It was better than our original choice. I have not ate in any local restaurants in Madison in a long time...I was very thankful for the Chow Mei Fun for my daughter, otherwise she might have not ate. The waitress was nice and helpful. Lots of traditional food to choose from...not chain or "fast food" style. The restaurant didn't look like it was up to date but I would return here.

Well, for one, the waitstaff has a hard time speaking English. I asked for won ton strips or chow main noodles and that went nowhere. Had the beef noodle soup and while it was good, it seemed pretty bland. Had egg rolls and they were really small, but tasted good.I think if you are looking for a true Chinese experience you will like this place.

The new place is amazing. The food has always been great. Service can be slow but like any other restuarant, you can go find your waiter/waitress. They're always very polite.
