I have to say this is one the places you will want to hang in this area. First off their beer selection is amazing! I was only able to try a couple which their IPA/Sour was my favorite as they have a variety of selections!

I mainly came here for the wings, and I would say the wings are slightly above average. Just like their beers they have a great number of flavors you can choose from and not too overwhelming. The beers are also served starting at 5oz!

We ordered 1 dry-rub recommended by staff which was the mesquite BBQ, and 3 house-made sauces (Jalapeño Ranch, Honey Habanero Buffalo, and Pineapple Teriyaki.)

They were all good, although my favorite was the Honey Habanero Buffalo. I’m curious, I feel as though I wonder if we should have ordered the wings with a particular dry-rub and then a few sauces on the side for dipping? You can go wrong with what you do either way!

Fun beers, rotated regularly. Meet the brewers/owners as they are there often. Solid food choices. Fun events (trivia, euchre, etc).

Anyone that resorts to violence against their employees or customers is not some that needs to run a business. Take your money elsewhere

Any establishment that resorts to violence against the employees is a place that shouldn’t be open. I would never recommend this place to anyone that I actually care about. Think twice before spending your hard earned dollars here.

Was told a table would be available in 5-10 minutes then waited 30+ to be seated. Service was very rude and rushing. Food is mediocre at best and my beer was warm. You’d have a better time at Applebees. Save your money.

On vacation we decided to check this place out and I'll put it this way save your money.

Staff was rude and very long wait times for what seemed like a pretty empty bar ,guess that should've been my first clue. The food was also very bland and seemed liked it was thrown together just to get it out quickly.

And don't get me started on the pricing , I wouldn't have been too mad if the food was even decent.

The beers are great and some are truly unique. The brewmaster Peter is so creative and talented. He has won many awards and has a true passion for his craft. There are always new beers at Starkweather, so we keep going back to taste Peter's new creations.

Best brew, brewer and brewery in Madison. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Ask for Peter.

I've visited Starkweather several times since it first opened, and the beers just keep getting better! I highly recommend making the trip if you haven't been yet—you won't be disappointed. Peter, the head brewer and I believe one of the owners, is exceptionally talented.

StarkWeather Brewing is a great spot to eat and get some really good beers. They put out all types of craft brews and I’ve never had a bad one. The fried cheese curds with the mustard of course, are to die for. Friendly staff as well.

Starkweather Brewing has different brews on tap every time I go!! The staff are professional and the food is delicious! I would try the mesquite tots as they are scrumptious! Peter does a great job with the beers and the name of the beers are always a delightful journey to figure out. A gem of Madison!!

I’ve been a couple times to give them multiple chances because we all know restaurants/breweries can have bad nights but each time was a worse experience. The food has never been hot or fresh. When I asked for a new meal due to mine being so cold it that it was inedible, the server made a rude remark and then brought me the same exact plate & it was piping hot from just being removed from the microwave. When asked, the server confirmed the cooks only microwaved it for me. When I told them I no longer wanted it they informed me I’d still have to pay for it. Never heard somewhere play the same 3-4 song on repeat either(same songs each time I went too). Each time I went I also saw who people said to be the owner belligerently drunk & was even rude to one of his employees right in front of me. Needless to say, I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend anyone giving it their time or money.
