Mgr refused to put the cheddar cheese sauce on my sub, like I ordered online shown on receipt, without me paying for extra cheese, and then forgot to toast my sub a 2nd time after veggies because he was so focused on charging me extra and ignoring the prepaid receipt. The eggs weren't even toasted enough and were still cold. None of the staff was polite. I'll tip in person next time depending.

This Subway location has become my go-to spot while waiting for the bus on Main Street. The sandwich artist who works here is consistently pleasant and helpful, always greeting customers with a smile and patiently walking through the many topping options. I especially appreciate how they're generous with the vegetables and never rush through the preparation process, even during busy lunch hours.
The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and its location right by the bus stop makes it perfect for grabbing a quick meal during my commute. The indoor seating area provides a comfortable place to wait for the next bus, especially during Wisconsin's colder months.
I've visited many Subway locations, but the friendly service and convenient location make this one stand out. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in downtown Madison!

I like Subway well enough. This establishment has a good crew, and good sandwiches. I've been working on the square for over a decade and occasionally drop by for a sub.
What I don't like about this Subway is the ownership. For an alarming amount of time now, both wall-mounted AC units (strange to begin with) have been broken. Ceiling tiles are missing for some reason. Worst of all, ownership has jury-rigged moisture wicks *made out of packing tape* which hang into moisture collection buckets. it is easily over 80 degrees inside that store.
One of these 7 foot long "packing tape moisture wicks" hangs right in front of the order counter.
I have refused to actually eat there since this occurred. It's been at least two weeks since the AC units broke, if not three. This is embarrassing, vile, disgusting, and potentially hazardous to public health.
To the owner of this restaurant: get your act together. Stop being lazy, cheap and neglectful and fix the absolutely alarming state of your franchise. Just beyond gross. You should consider actually doing something about this soon, as I have already reached out to the city to have a health inspector visit your vile, neglected store.

Pretty much a Hole in the Wall, bigger than Jimmy John's when it comes to internal space, but they try to cram it full of seating, so it makes it more cramped than it actually is. It's pretty much a standard Subway with the exception that it has a Television with the national news on inside.
Parking: There are paid parking lots around the outer ring of the Capitol, as well as Paid Parking Meters on the side streets. If you want free parking, you will have to park much farther in the residential blocks.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, a bit cramped, make sure to either move chairs yourself or ask someone to for you if you plan to dine in.

I usually only order from Subway is because of the chocolate chip cookies. Not any other flavor because they’re all subpar. Every other time I order from this location they never have any chocolate chip cookies. And instead of refunding my money to me or calling me to inform me of the situation. They give me other flavors without asking and assuming that will resolve the situation. This is horrible customer service and whoever runs this store is completely incompetent.

Place supposed to close at 9pm gets there at 8:45 pm sees staff still in restaurant tells me that their closed. At least they could have put up a note saying they were short staffed or something like Starbucks do when they got to close early.
